Here is a thread where we can discuss points for specific tables and respecitive team sign-up. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - PAINTING RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED FOR THE APOC GAMES!! Please at least try to have your models primed if not basecoated so we have as little raw plastic on the table. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The points per player and per team are flexable. If we need to ramp up the points per game, we can most certianly do that. Please post your interest so I can see where we need to make adjustments, possibly listing what you could or would like to field, so others can add to or compliment a team theme. Start your post with the table you are interested in playing on so we can sort through and compile a digest when the time comes.
Tentative details per table... (This first post will be updated with current details as needed.) Due to a lack of interest, there will be only one Apoc table - the Ash-World City table. The other two tables have been canceled. Table two: Taros - Tarokeen. Four (4) players per team; 3k per player; 12k per team; 24k game? ...or more?[/s] Table three: Taros – The Great Sand Sea. Four (4) players per team; 3k per player; 9k per team; 18k game. [/s]

I can play on any table. I am sure they will all look nice.
I could field 3000 points: I can bring a Chaos Reaver Titan, Greater Brass Scorpion, Chaos Hellhammer and Chaos Shadowsword.
I would be able to field 20,000 points fully painted at the Apocalypse game for Chaos.

Table: Ash-World City. (Place Holder) Team Chaos wants to put 20k on the table, and will have four to five players. Anyone else up for a super-massive game? 40k of 40k? Who's going to step up and purge the city? They say they have Superheavies and Formations... ;D way-cool. If Team Two needs help ballancing things out, we will have a selection of Superheavy models, Titans and Formations on hand for others to use. Teams for this table: T1 - P1 - Team Chaos: Garou24 (Brian Coe) T1 - P2 - Team Chaos: Soleman (Steve Soles) T1 - P3 - Ben Crowe T2 - P1 -Imperial Forces: dswanick T2 - P2 - : T2 - P3 - :

Table: Taros - Tarokeen. (Place Holder)
Looking to get this into more points by adding another player (or two) to each team. 9k per team just won't be enough visually, so let's try to get 12k+ going here!
Recomended teams for this table: T1 - P1 - Tau: TrooperPX (Govenor's Palace Defense) 3-4k T1 - P2 - Tau: T1 - P3 - Tau: T1 - P4 - Guard:
T2 - P1 - SM: T2 - P2 - SM: T2 - P3 - SM: T2 - P4 - Guard:

Table: Taros – The Great Sand Sea. (Place Holder)
I'm expecting to keep this table open for day-of signup. Being a clean, terrain-ballanced, open table, it will be easier to play on this without much pre-game strategy. Neither side will have an advantage over terrain placement. Show up and play!
DSwanick had a cool idea for the sand-sea table: - Six (...eight or how many players want to play) mission objectives evenly scattered around the table. As each player deploys he rolls a d6 for a seize objective, and scores an objective point each turn he holds that objective. Deployment is from the table edge segment opposite his seize objective. (So yes, teams will be setting up around the table, even next to the other team!) Each player also rolls a d6 for a denial objective, and scores 1 point for each turn no one holds that objective. This could make for some interesting "negotiations" within a team if one of their members rolls a denial objective that another of their team has as a seize.
- Since you want a pickup game on this table, army lists should probably be capped on 2,000pts to allow people with competition lists to throw in an extra unit to round out. Also, if only 1 player wants in during a given round we could do some kind of "Replacement assets"-type reinforcement of the opposing team.
My question: Sould the deployment be in turns? T1P1, then T2P1, then T1P2, etc... This way the first team to deploy dosen't get nerfed completly should they be isolated from the rest due to this forced/random deployment. It will be a real challange to have to defend yourself while getting to your objective without the full support of your team. Do you go after your objective, or focus on denying someone else theirs? That would really mix it up from regular Apoc play. Thoughts?

T2 - P1 -: T2 - P2 - : T2 - P3 - : T2 - P4 - :

I am going to tentatively sign up for this event. I don't believe that deer season (my first love) opens until the following weekend and I don't have to work that weekend.

The Ash-World City Chaos team is looking to be 4 or 5 players. Steve and I are working out the details and recruiting so we will update once its all ironed out.
20,000 points of chaos running rampant in the city... any Imperials man enough to purge the city of its corruption?

Well, when you throw the gauntlet down that way I guess I almost have to break out the War Griffons. Since Trooper is going to play, I'll see about doing the same.

Good to see some loyalist with a spine stepping up to the challenge I was afraid the Space Marines were just going to roll over like dogs and let Chaos have their city. Let me know if you guys want to plan out Super Heavy tanks and titans etc so we know each side will be balanced. This should be a fun epic game!

The Adeptus Astartes may roll over and play dead, but the Legio Titanicus of the Adeptus Mechanicus will make an accounting.

I've discovered Battle Chronicler... and will be using it to create a virtual map of the tables. ;D I started with Taros and just posted a WIP of how the table will look. Later, when I finish photographing the phisical parts of the board, those images will be posted as a composite SatMap image.

This weekend I completed hand-painting two eight-foot by twenty-foot desert drops for the Taros tables... It's heavy canvas (a recycled opera backdrop), so it won't get widgy durring play. Here's a macro shot of the surface detail:
I also have a mess of pics of the newly completed Basilica over on Dakka: www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/317246.page

What is the painting restrictions for the Apocalypse games? I have some units that I am trying to get ready for the big game. They are primed and partially painted, but might not be fully painted for the game.
