The 2011 DaBoyz GT will be October 21, 22 and 23. Its never to early to start planning and preparing for next year. If you would like to help run/plan the event please volunteer early. If you would like to plan/run one of the side tournaments or events please volunteer. You can do so here or drop an email to DaBOYZGT@gmail.comThanks again to all the Staff and players who made this year a good time. Hopefully we can do just as good or better next year.

Looking forward to DaBoyzGT 2011. I helped out in 2009 with setup, taking pictures of tables prior to gaming and tear down. Unfortunately I missed 2010 due to medical reasons.
Let me know how I can help. I'm also local to the Rochester, NY area.

I have already promised to help Chris with the trophies and I am more than happy to help with terrain. Just let me know.

I have every intention of coordinating another Apoc game, so long as Jay will have me. This time I won't get thrown in at the last week, so it will go more smoothly.

my mom could help set up and clean up Like any good woman should! And we wonder why we don't have more females playing 40k! (or maybe we don't wonder)... I would be glad to help out, I think I could increase the rigor of the pairing program used to match players, I spend most of my day writing computer code and Visual Basic with excel is pretty straightforward.

I'd like to step up and offer my help with this if David doesn't object. We've already had some interesting and good conversations about how next year can be even better.

Here are some of the additional details as I understand were previously set up as well as additional ones that need to be addressed:
- There will be a Friday "Team Tournament" where each individual on the team has to bring a different codex army and each will play against a selected participant from the other team. The sum of the individual games will be tallied and a win, loss or draw for the team will be determined. This is to follow the European team championship format more or less.
- Saturday and Sunday will be the individual event/events. It still needs to be determined if there will be one 40k (with or without comp) or 2 seperate tournaments (one with comp and the other without it).
- We need to have a DaBoyz2011 email account set up. I believe we used gmail last year? Does anyone want to be the contact person on this?
- Who wants to be involved? How many organizers should there be? Should there be one "manager"? Who from last year wants to be involved and in what roll? Who else wants to step in and in what roll?
Lets get some feedback going.
Thanks

Could a couple of the guys that have been involved in putting this together in the past come up with a composite list of what "committees" they would like to have for this event? I am sure each batch of guys has had good and bad things happen while running the event.
It would be easier to fill spots, if people had a broader view of what needed to be done, as well as how much of a time commitment it would be.
As an example: Terrain Guy(s) - This person would be in charge of making sure all events had terrain. Getting terrain to and from the events. Getting solid commitments from people that bringing terrain etc.
Some jobs require people with certain areas of expertise. A new player shouldn't really be judging comp, but could help out with getting sponsors.
An outline for each duty would be great.
I am sure the vets here could come up with many more that would fit as well.

I'll contribute to mission design and probably two more tables (total of 4).
Like zack though I'm a player first and foremost.

I have a boat load of missions that were designed for my GT's years ago. I will throw my body anywhere I can to help out pre-event. My truck will also be available to help transport terrain and tables, I just need a firm schedule so I can take the time off work. I have a lot of experience with terrain, running large events, missions, etc...so use me where you can. I do still plan on playing, however if Jay and Shaun spurn me as a partner I may be able to help run the team event on Friday.
