As much as I want to try and win the Falcon or A-Wing ;D, I may or may not be able to attend because my son's first indoor track meet is on the 15th. The good news is it takes place at RIT but until I know what time he runs I cannot commit yet.
Hoping that he runs early and then I can make it over. Otherwise, I'll stop by afterwards and get in some games with anyone who wants to stick around after the event.

Speaking of after the tournament, how many rounds is it going to be? And will it be the 75 minute rounds listed in the tournament rules? Just asking because it says rounds are at the TO's discretion based on players/time restrictions.... Im gunna go out on a limb and assume 3 rounds though with a 12 start would mean roughly a 4-5ish end time
Based on the # of rounds kevin i may or may not be around after to get a game in with you, gotta leave back for buffalo by 7 or 8 at the latest

Chris,
Smitty passed around an email from the guy running the event. Here is what he has planned for the day: (I bolded the part about rounds and time)
The tournament will feature 100 point builds of a single faction, so make sure to bring ID tokens in case you end up playing Rebel vs. Rebel, or Imperial vs. Imperial. According to the tournament rules, a match win is 5 points, modified match win is 3 points, a draw is 1 point and a loss is 0 points. A modified win results from not completely eliminating your opponent and is determined on the number of points worth of ships remaining. Players will be ranked on points, so it is not based on win/loss. Ideally, I’d like to have three timed rounds lasting an hour each and then a fourth game involving the two highest ranking players, time permitting this match may not be timed and require complete elimination.

Picked up the Y-wing, x-wing, and advanced TIE tonight.
Chris, millennium had 3 advanced TIEs left so you may want to have one put on hold so you can get it the next time you are in the area.

Kevin i also got a ywing and the xwing out of my brothers core set not sure if he'll be attending or not, as of now my tourney list is Luke skywalker, dutch vander, and horton salm, all with astromechs and offensive upgrades
Will you be going imp or rebel if you go?
I have to say proton torpedos are really hard to use vs ties because one movement and they could easily be in range 1 of the y wing

Also millennium is not listed on fantasy flights website as a host for this event for some reason, and strangely enough the jesters cap IS even though they don't carry the product

KRAD 1, standing by.
Gonna have my Rebels in time for this event. Probably paint them with some custom squadron markings. Can't wait to try out the game, really want an A-Wing.

@sinister - I plan on running rebels if I can make it in time. I just dont have enough to run a decent sized imperial force.
@konrad - glad to hear you are coming out as well. Like I posted above, if I cant make it in time for the event I'll be dropping by to watch and a pickup game.
