Very nice, I've actually been reading the blog for awhile now, after toning down on my infamous list bashing, it has been refreshing reading about armies focusing more on flavor and appearance than winning at all costs. I will definitely be reading up on the Daboyz GT coverage you guys post. Glad to hear it - I do not think I know anyone locally running that style of Tau list. I also think that there are some really straightforward power builds from codices and there are some that are nearly as strong - and much harder to deal with - that represent more diversity. The GT constraints should help at least a little in showing these diverse setups rather than the repeated spam style that tends to be both strong by exploiting a GW oversight, and boring as heck!

So a couple of questions regarding the new Space Marine Codex.
1) In a space marine command squad, can an apothecary have a special weapon?
It is currently unclear as it says that any veteran may have a special weapon, in addition to any veteran being able to be upgraded to an apothecary. Being an apothecary does not remove any equipment from the veteran, so I believe they can, but I wanted to make sure.
2) Do Grav weapons ignore cover saves on vehicles?
I personally don't think they should, but the RAW argument states otherwise. At any rate, some clarification here would be awesome.
3) When Grav weapons shoot at a vehicle and cause two immobilization results, how many hull points does it cause?
So rules guys are saying two while others are saying three. I am currently leaning towards 3 (one for the initial immobilization, two for the additional immobilization) but I am just looking how to play it.
Any clarification would help out greatly.

We are reviewing these rules ATM. We help to have some answers in about a week. I still working on the first question. also the FAQ is been updated.

Tau/Farsight question;
"All unit selections will be 0-2 with the exception of those from Troop"
Codex: Tau - Elite Unit Riptide, 0-2.
Codex Farsight - Farsight Commander Bodyguard O'vesa
While clearly the Riptides from Codex Tau are the same unit, same unit choice in the FOC, same upgrades, same points costs, what about O'vesa?
While O'vesa is a Riptide model, he is not chosen from the Elites section in terms of units, his unit type is different (the Tau codex ones are 1 Riptide Shas'vre, O'vesa is simply O'vesa).
Can a person take O'vesa, 2 Tau Riptides and still be considered to fall within the Army Restrictions?

I havent got a look at the farsight dex to see how it exactly works. But i
believe if you take O'vesa as a special/unique character then i see no reason
you could not take 2 more riptides .

We have modified our ruling on the Comdemnor Boltgun
If the unit contains one or more models withe the psyker rule, it suffers a perils on that model in addition to the strength 5 hit. If there is more than one psyker, which psyker takes the perils is randomized.
If more than one Condemnor Boltgun hits the unit, each Perils result is randomized.
If the unit contains a brotherhood of psykers/sorcerers and one or more psyker models, the brotherhood unit counts as a single psyker for determining who takes the perils and then follows their rules for resolving the perils as normal if they are effected by it.
