Greetings Esteemed Brothers and Sisters,
:-D. So, there is a tournament at a store in Syracuse, NY. The store is called Comix Zone. I just wanted to find out if any of Da Boyz were going to be down there. This store has in the past been a real fun place to play at, in my own opinion.

Yes, this weekend, January 9th. I'll be driving up from Binghamton to play. It's an 1850 Rogue Trader with heavy soft scores. Dan Pearson is running the event. Attendance is limited so be sure to call and reserve a spot before you make the trip.

To bad the local stores can’t get together to coordinate their tournaments. I would like to go the tournament that Dan is running but I don’t want to drive to Syracuse two weeks in a row . I think I am going the team tournament next weekend at PTG. Millennium is also holding one on the same day

Greetings,
I will be at this tournament. It should be a lot of fun. Is there actually going to be fourteen people there, or was that just the upper limit? I would love to see a tournament that was somewhat bigger, going to tournaments where there are only six people can be a little annoying. It is great when there are lots of different armies and they are not the same people all the time. Variation is fun.
Does anyone know the exact points break-down for the tournament? As in, how much is composition worth and what is the composition chart, how much is painting worth and what is the painting chart, how much is the pop quizz worth and how much are battle points worth? That would be great if someone knows that.

I think the upper limit is 14 or 16 for this event. From what I understand, Comix Zone just isn't big enough to have more tables. The comp rubric that Dan is using is the same for the one that we ran in October in Binghamton. Check www.bcadeptus.com for more information. I think you can look in the forums under Events and then Rogue Trader to see a full points breakdown.

Greetings,
Yes this was not really to let anyone know about that because I figured people could handle that themselves, I was just curious to see if anyone was going. I find it works best to actually call/check websites of stores every day, so I do not miss a tournament. That rubric looks pretty awesome, thank you for telling me about it.
I think Mike said 14 was the limit, yes their store is a bit small. Well, I will see all of you there who are going then.

Yeesh, Comp is worth almost as much as battle points. I think I'll pass.
If there wasn't another tourney down the street on the same day I'd consider it.

I'm not saying he's not, it's just that severe comp systems like that aren't my cup of tea.

Yeesh, Comp is worth almost as much as battle points. I think I'll pass. . Actually, comp is worth more than battle points (23 battle points possible to add compared to 32 comp points), is entirely subjective, has half the points awarded by your opponent, and seems to be based on chasing people who play wrong away. Painting is 26 points and Sports is 22 points.
