We will be running this event on the 15th. It's free of course so we won't be supplying lunch. Prizes to the top finishers. We will be using the INATFAQ for rules guidelines. If you have a table's worth of terrain feel free to bring it. Sing-ups start at 9:30am tourney will start at 10ish. We have some construction going on at the store this week so space will be a bit cramped. Lunch will be after round one. We will be using the same packet that was posted at the beginning of this thread. Any additional questions can be sent to my e-mail which is Travis at cyberstormgaming.com
Thanks

The tournament will be at RIT in the student union at 1 lomb Memorial Drive. It will begin at 11am and will be on May 16. As with all Ard Boyz we will be using the rules package from GW and will have fabulous prizes and no costs. Thanks, Boldo Last that was posted. Boldo, any changes?

Questions:
'Ardboyz is "strictly WYSIWYG" or so the packet states.
1. How strict are Travis/MG judges going to be on this Saturday? 2. How will this apply to units with no GW/FW models released yet? 3. How will we be holding our opponents accountable in this area?
The reason(s) I ask is this week, I have gone out of my way to glue on the rediculous little giblets that come on the Tyranid sprues that are supposed to represent toxin sacs and adrenal glands. I'm wondering/hoping I'm not the only one glueing fingers together this week to make their lists "strictly WYSIWYG".
I know most of the hardcore hobbysts have WYSIWYG armies by now, but I also know I've faced a fair amount of Space Wolf, Blood Angel, and Salamander lists locally that are far from it.
If one of the TO's or shopowners could clarify this for me, I'd be grateful.

Tyranid sprues that are supposed to represent toxin sacs and adrenal glands.
I would not worry about that.
I have guants with the gun arm only. The other arm is not glued on to pull the trigger.

I'd point to a Carnifex and say that all of your models are supposed to be that size and that you were using little models so that you wouldn't have to buy big ones. They'd rule in my favor. ;D
Oh god, Tommy made you a moderator?

Cheers jdubb, must have missed that before. Hope nothing changes on the sly between now and then hyv3 I wouldn't worry so much about little gubbinz like that, just make sure your opponent is aware before the game starts. I'm not sure how judges will rule it though, so maybe a quick e-mail or phone call might be in order. As for the big beasties, just make sure they're proper fexish size and distinguishable from normal fexes and Tyrants.

Just to answer people. Sorry for not getting on here sooner. Please call me when you have questions. I am usually at the store now. We are gonna run the event how GW dictates we run the event. If it says WYSIWYG then that's how we are running it. No non GW models. As far as the peanut gallery with not knowing what a toxin sac is. I would know but the only book that they should have put a war gear section in, Tyranids, they didn't. So do you know what a toxin sac looks like? LOL. Stuff like krak grenades don't have to be on models but everything else should me fielded as it's modeled. We are not going to go around and personally inspect every model. If your opponent calls you out on something you will need to replace the model with the right model or a different model with the right points. No GW/FW models will be covered with a "Do you best to represent it" mentality. Again sorry so late on this post. I will go over this before we start tomorrow.

I just wanted to let jay know, he sucks ><
finished 7th overall, but was in 2nd at the start of round 3. meant I had to play against jay's evil, evil nid list. I demand a rematch! a few things I could have done differently to beat you, now that I think about it some more. (focus fire on venomthropes / hiveguard from the start) I'll chalk it up to a lack of experience against new nids.
next time, gadget, next time!
