mission 6 looks good, but horde armies will have an edge over smaller armies

yea... on mission 6, I roll a 6, I loose 1-3 25 point bikers. a horde player rolls a 6, he looses 1-3 5 point gaunts/orks.... not a fan of the random dead guys how about you make it a rule that all difficult terrain is treated as dangerous? also not a fan of how it may not be possible to find the objective, if 3 objectives are rolled for, and nobody rolls a 6 to find it. not a fan of mission 7 either.... any time one of my units randomly takes wounds or is damaged is not good IMO, as it hurts elite armies MUCH moreso than horde armies. I loose a full biker squad with HQ attached to it, i'm down 500 points or so. Horde player looses a squad of gaunts, he's down what, 50 points? I would NOT want to be in the middle of a mission, have a critical unit suddenly warp forward 12", then mishap and die. please, no missions with random casualties / deaths to units involved.

Wow brutal missions.
I would definately play each once just to see how the mechanics work out on the table. I'll be at MG most of Saturday if Doug or anyone else wants to try them (or any of the other GT missions).
My concern about #6 is objective missions usually end up with damaged/smaller units scoring by turn 6 or 2.5 hours. After 6 turns of rolling for casualties, each scoring unit will statistically take one round of casualties further increasing the chance to draw on objectives. Also consider this: Cover saves and invulns are allowed versus Toxic Wasteland, but not armor saves. With this mechanic, Wraithlords can be one shotted with no saves while an entire Chaos Demon army would get their invulns.
Mission #7... hmm. A 1 in 6 chance for each unit to warp and possibly mishap. Could end with both players tabled worst case scenario. Definatelty hurts melee armies more than shooty ones too. Then again, castling shooty armies can warp off the table and mishap too so should be interesting lol. Imagine a Land Raider loaded with Terminators warping and mishap'ing. That's 1/3 of your army gone to a non-opponent dice roll. Also, I'd add specific wording about the psychic stuff applied to specific armies (ie. how are Eldar with runes of wittnessing/warding effected, does SitW stack making it 4d6?).

The missions seem fine to me. My concern is the toxic wasteland happens every turn or ever player turn?

Random events and the ability to adapt and overcome is the mark of a true champion.
Toxic waste happens at the begin of each turn to the players army before they move. It happens each turn.
I would be happy to play out either mission in a week or so when I get home from vacation.
Chumby didnt like them, so what it isnt like he will show up anyway.
Maybe its me or maybe its the alcohol talking ( since I am on vacation ) but since you wont go anyway, stop posting and go away Chumby, think of it as your gift to making the world a better place.

...and you know what, there are also ways that I can improve the missions as well.
Number 7 has been rewritten,
Look for a rewrite on number 6 then tell me what you think after playing it.
Thank you Steve!
