From what information I have, there is only one team signed up. That's a team of four, as Chaos, on the Ash-World City table. DSwanick has put himself on that table as an Imperial player. And I've put myself on the Tarokeen table as Tau, playing the Govenor's Palace Defense. With each of the three tables taking two teams of four, there are 24+ slots total... six spoken for leaves 18 slots left to fill. But since it's really open at this point, players and points totals are flexible. I'm hoping there will be more interest in the Apoc games. With less than a month to go, I've seen no new sign-ups and no new team chatter. Not to get discouraged, but I've put a hundred hours of labor into these tables, and it would be a shame to set all of this up just for show-and-tell. Would it help people if we lifted the painting restriction? I know it would be "ideal" to have fully painted armies on the table, but this is not part of the Tourney. It might be restrictive and discouraging to some people to come up with 4k of pained minis in the time we have left. I would rather this be a fun event than a chore... more play than work. (I know personally, I have 12k of Tau, but only around 3k fully painted up. Do I spend quality time with friends and family, or try to paint that last 1k of minis.) Would that get players to the table?

Maybe check with Boldo, Travis, and Pair-A-Dice to see if you can post some flyers for the apoc game?
Maybe someone with a connection can send a note out to the 40k players at the RIT or UR game clubs?
What time is the apoc event scheduled to start and end? I might be interested in participating. I have a painted Chaos warhound and a painted Brass Scorpion and rules for both. If I can't play, anyone who wants to play is welcome to borrow them.

After our big apocalypse game at pair-A-Dice I handed out flyers to all the players and left a stack on the front desk. Soleman and Myself have created forum topics on their boards about the GT and this Apocalypse game.
I hope more will sign up to fill out the remaining tables. heck right now I am busting my but to get my models painted fully for the 20k chaos game. I am afraid It will be 20k chaos with no opponents to play against.

DSwanick has a solution/option should the need arise... Should he be the only one to represent: "If all else absolutely falls through, I think it would be kind of fun to do the Ash-world table with appr. 20k of Chaos (no super-heavies, titans, etc.) deployed in the city vs every Titan I can field (around 7500pts, nothing else). I'd take the offensive and we could see how an outnumbered (almost 3:1) Titanicus force does against Codex forces." That could be very interesting.

Fear not Garou, there will be opposition to Chaos. As Trooper mentioned - I'm willing to go all titans against all your non-super-heavy stuff in a special-rules game if it comes down to that. I may die horribly but I will bring a fight. If no one else signs up for this board I'll pm you with my thoughts on the scenario I'm envisioning and we can hammer something out.

I have (just one) super heavy bane-blade if the imperium needs help. I won't be in the apocalypse because I'm in the tournament, but some one could borrow it. its missing its sponsons tho

That might be even more fun than the original game. Either way i am sure we will get a good game going. If we did the 20k points of chaos with no super heavies, I would have to print some partially painted stuff. I do not have too many super heavies it the list but it makes a decent amount of the points.

No one's chimed in with any coments or concerns... but I wouldn't have a problem with (at least primed - hopefully not just raw plastic) unpainted minis on the table, if that's what it took to pull it off.

Well registration for the main GT is 8-9:30. I will be there bright and early (I usually wake up around 5am and live just over 1 hour away), so I guess when you guys get there we'll start. ;D Let's plan for 9am.
