Very nice models. The Incubi alone would inspire me to start the army. The new raiders are sweet too. They did a good job of updating the look while maintaining the feel.
If the new codex is in line with SW/BA/IG, I may have to jump on the bandwagon.

WOW!!! My son started his Christmas list after seeing those images today. I do have to say that Lilith's model is fantastic looking. Heck, the whole range is great looking.

So, the new models are amazing IMO. Some of the new rules/mechanics for the army seem very nice also, cited here: www.belloflostsouls.net/2010/09/40k-rumors-dark-eldar-rules-pt-2.htmlAre DE going to be more represented than SW/IG? Tyranids were a pretty popular Xenos before the FAQ nerf, but IME they don't fare well in the competitive environment where people are bringing 12 vehicles. I'm not a fan of marines or loyalists, so this release is exciting to me as a competitive alternative to my Nids. They'll lose some of their appeal if I end up as 1 of a dozen DE players at a tourney. How many of y'all are going to jump on this bandwagon too?

Not me. My goal for 2011 is to learn how to play Craftworld Eldar until GW decides to update the Necrons then I will play them as well.

I will be buying DE stuff to paint since the models are so beautiful. Plus their bits will make nice extras for my other armies. Not sure if I will get the codex or enough models to play a game, but we will see. I am waiting for my necrons to get an update.

I'm holding off on DE until GW releases a FAQ. I don't want to get screwed out of an army like my Drop Nids

OK genius, I have to ask ( and I know I will be sorry when you answer ) but how did GW screw you out of playing drop podding Nids? I already know that they must have nerfed some sort of perceived cheesy tactic that you and your buddy Stelek had envisioned.
Here is a thought ( yes, that requires you to have a fully functioning brain to process ), still with me? How about playing an army you like? As Brian pointed out he is going to buy the army mainly because he likes the way they look and that they will be fun to paint ( I know painting and modeling, what the hell do they have to do with 40K huh?).
Lastly, I liked the picture you posted Chumb. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Drop Nids were made A) Illegal and B) Nerfed. Double whammy. A) Tyranid Primes cannot join units in Spore Pods any more. Well, there goes my theme. B) Hive Commander doesn't stack. There goes any reliability, awesome. Those minis are wonderful but if GW still can't make a good Xenos army without turning around and screwing them, they don't earn my money. They can do Marines really well, but Xenos tend to get the shaft. I might get some DE minis second hand, but that's about it if GW decides to be stupid again. And, the obvious question is, how is it any of your business what I do with my money? Oh, and before you go off spewing more nonsense here I have a recommendation for you. Try this place out. They'd love having a guy like you around, I'm sure of it. Get bent.

Thanks for keeping us on topic Joe.
I have to admit, a month ago dark eldar were the last army I'd consider. The new models look so nice as well as the new rules and equipment (or rumors of).
Hellions dragging an IC out of a unit when they succeed a hit-and-run. Funny but probably not a lot of table use.
36" jetbike boost with the ability to shred units they pass over.
All the new wych weapons. Extra attacks on incubi when you roll 6's. And nobody has even seen the excerpt on mandrakes yet.
I'm going to need to sell my 2nd ed chaos stuff to start my DE fund.

An army full of open topped AV10 skimmers. I can't wait Seriously though, it'll be awesome seeing DE get the love they deserve.

This was my first army, but the rules are so outdated and crappy I stopped playing them. I will be interested in the rules updates and then I will see if I am going to get them.

I will start out with Codex, Archon and a box of Witches.
I still like the old models for the Incubi and Raiders.
Already got my hands on some Harlequins. At some point I will update my Warriors and Lelith.
Got my hopes up that DE have more options for heavy support.
