I believe its april 9th.
1850 no special/unique characters No modifying the force org Everything that's non-troop is 0-1 Only 1 av14 max per army
Travis will correct me if I'm mistaken.

That is the first I heard of the no unique characters. Does that mean the Avatar is out for the eldar?

I'm probably wrong. They wouldn't want eldar to leave home without an avatar, that would be asking too much on top of everything else ;D

I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be "No Named Characters"

No named characters. This includes Arjac and other characters that fall under that categorization.
I will post a full tourney description in a minute but I wanted to answer this. Also keep in mind our April event is our more unique style event.

now i'm really confused. the event listings say that the april tourney at MG is the 19th. April 9th is a tourney at UBCON that I thought DAboyz had some kind of affiliation with. Is this a double booking? I just assumed the list meant the 16th since it was closest saturday. I want to support UBCON, but MG is a DaBoyz invitational qualifier and the pools might be diluted so a spot might be a little easier to get.

I would like to support UBcon too, but they currently have 0 paid registrations for their 40k singles tournament. That's concerning.

DaBoyz GT is a separate event that is being held in October 21, 22, and 23. All the local stores run there own events. The local stores support the Daboyz GT, but the Daboyz GT is separate and independent event. What MG is doing is that they are running Tournaments (schedule located somewhere) for 40K and Fantasy and at then end of the year they run a invite only event (top two finishers from each event).

I totally understand the difference of DAboyz GT and everything else.I just wanted to make sure that the MG event was the same day as UBCON. I thought it was the next week daboyzateam.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=announcements&action=display&thread=2836That is going to keep all of the Rochester people from coming out and sucking off most of the Buffalo people. We havent had a good UBCON 40k tourneys in like 5 years. And we wont again this year. I live in the second bigest city in the state and we can't get anyone to play at our college tourney. I was planning on going. didn't prereg yet because i'm spending all day painting for Adepticon, plus I wasn't sure what was going on at MG. Thought I'd do UB con week after Adepticon then MG week after that. 16 games in 3 weeks.

I apologize for the confusion on the initial post. This is the first time that anyone has brought that post up in a while. It was a typo. The 19th of April is a Tuesday. We never run events on any day other then Saturday for GW. So when I typed the post I must have put a 1 in front of the 9. Our events for the past three years have always been held on the second Saturday of the month.
I apologize that this event lines up with UBCON. It wasn't intentional. At this point I can't change the date of the event. It's less then a month away and we have scheduled other events around our own 40k event. The month of April is pretty full for events for us.
Hopefully both events have good attendance. There is a large enough local community to make both event successful. I am not overly excited with the timing due to Adepticon either. After people do a large event it tends to be harder to get them to come out to a small local the following weekend. But it also gives some of the people that don't win often, a good chance to qualify, with the sharks out of the water.

thanks for the clarification. I guess our group will have to choose. Think we will probably lean toward MG though. It's the best place we've played at outside of the big cons/GT's.
