Hey all,
Starting this Sunday I am looking to begin my "training montage" for the European Team Championship. I don't know what army I will be taking but there are a few that I want to start getting really familiar with.
As such, I will place a bounty of $10 store credit to anyone who beats me. I am looking to get 2 games in on Sundays as well as any that I can make during the week. I will even be making my rounds to Millennium in an effort to get more games.
For those of you that don't know the ETC rules, the games are 1750 with no special characters and no comp. Please let me know if anyone is up for games this Sunday. I want to have one start right at noon and one at around 3:00 if anyone is interested. Please let me know if anyone can help me out. Thanks all.

In my best Clubber Lane/Mr T. voice:
"I reject the challenge cause there is no challenge. But if you want me to bust you up..." "I predict pain." " I will torture him and crucify him!"
( Now if I only had enough hair left for a decent mohawk...)
So my friend you tell me when and where. I could possibly play on sunday or at Millennium (or Boldo's) some evening before work ( I work overnights), you make the call. How about 1750 points of Nurgle to hand you your first loss? Let me know. If you want to play another list or have me proxy something you expect to see let me know also.

Sundays are no good for me but I am free Monday and Friday nights or Saturdays during the day. I have my Eldar and can play just about any unit except jetbike seer.

Hey Shaun,
How about a May 1st match-up against the new Grey Knights? I should have the new models glued together by then. I can bring IG too if you want to do a double-header.

Try this if you are serious about training.
1) Do set up going first and then also second for each deployment type. It shouldn't take long to do these 6 set ups.
2) Roll a set up and then play the full game but make suggestions on optimal play to your opponent. Assume your opponent plays perfectly. What must you do when your opponent makes few or no mistakes.
It's better to try to solve the puzzle than win a game if you are looking for training. You don't have alot of time also to train and each game takes so long. I originally picked up this idea from Darkwynn and Jwolf. For the Gladiator they would play 1-3 turn 30 minute games to see which side ended up with the advantage. Deployment is crucial so see if you can get a lot of practice with it.

Hey Shaun,
Kristi needs me to watch the kids in the afternoon so I can only play the 12:00 game - sorry about that. Would you rather practice against IG or Grey Knights?
cya Sunday, Paul

Doesn't matter Paul. You choose what you want to play. Thanks again.
