Some changes have been made to the rules as they stand, after our testing games last weekend. A few things regarding army structure, bonus points, and tyranids/tau have been changed.
We will continuously be trying to playtest this before the event, so if anyone is interested in playing some games before hand, let us know how they go and any concerns or questions that come up.

A couple questions:
At which point in the process do we distribute the 3 USR's, and can they all be the same USR? For instance, can I bring 3 thunderwolves for my 200pts and give them all FnP?
If the USR's are distributed after first turn is decided, could I give all 3 of them "Scout" and scout move them all fir first turn assaults?
Can one model receive one USR and one of the three special rules? Furious Charge and Killing Blow? FnP and the Leadership re-roll?
Eldar weapon platforms are ignored for B2B purposes. How will these be treated in killteams? Must they remain in b2b with a designated gunner or?

no, you give 3 different USRs to 3 different models.
and im just gunna go ahead and say if anyone does actually bring a eldar platform, yes, they must dedicate a gunner to it.

Didn't see this on the first post- when is registration and what is the cost? Past lock-ins had registration at 5 and the games kicked off at 6pm. Is this still the same or will it start later due to ard' boys? I'll be there with my tau.

we are going to be starting this a while after the ard boyz is over, maybe like 45 mins - an hour later. like chris p, were hoping people who are playing in the ard boyz will stick around to play the lock-in, maybe ill ask travis if we cant knock a few bucks off the registration if you play in both. as far as i know, it will be the usual $20 pre-register, $24 day of.

Hey, I'm new to this board, but I'm planning on coming to the Lock in this weekend. I just had a question about the rules. How to Dark Eldar Pain tokens work? I assume an individual who kills another individual would get a pain token just like a squad would, is that right? And what about Wracks, who start the game with a Pain Token? Does each wrack get their first token and the Feel No Pain rule?
I'm really excited for this tournament. It sounds like its going to be super fun.

They set a squad precedent with the GK and upgrade rules stating things like the justicar can cast hammerhand to buff the entire squad, despite each model acting independently.
With this foundation, I doubt individual DE will each get a pain token for each model they kill. Since icons, psybolt ammo, etc still effect the whole unit, my guess will be that pain tokens are on a unit basis and not individual. So if you take wracks, the whole squad counts as having FnP from the start.
Getting a pain token for killing one model could get pretty abused methinks, especially by DE elites and fast attack units.

I feel like the example of a justicar using a psychic ability for the whole squad is useful and time saving. This way the whole squad can benefit from the army's special rule every turn without having to roll a million dice. A GK army can benefit from their ability every turn. However, I don't think it should be seen as a precedent for Dark Eldar. If you think about it that way then a Dark Eldar army can go an entire kill team game without benefiting from Power from Pain. This would happen easily against any opponent who chooses only to field one squad.
I can see how it could be worrisome to do it on an individual model basis, but from playing a few missions myself, I don't think it could be as abusive as anyone might think. If only one model at a time can benefit from Power from Pain, not very many models will be getting tokens at a time. Also, the third pain token grants Fearless, which will be useless in a game where moral checks aren't made for a whole squad.
That's my position on Pain Tokens in Kill Team missions. I won't make a fuss, though, if ya'll think it would be mad unfair. I'm just trying to make sure my army can use its special rules effectively.

Okay, so now that the new SoB codex is out a few quick questions...
Do I use the new Codex or the old one for this event?
I am assuming the whole unit benefits from an AoF the same as GK.
If an AoF says 'if you pass gain +1 s' can I use this multiple times to go to S5 or S6 on the unit? Nothing prevents you from using an AoF multiple times, unlike the old Codex and nothing states these are not individual +1's.
Thanks.

Sorry I haven't posted any thing in a bit but for the last two questions for the DE and the SoB. These are different from the justicar rules since those are psychic power (something i didn't want in kill team but the masses did), they a have "source" where as Aof and PFP are different and indepened from the rules inplace for psychic powers
DE: power from pain is gonna work like it is in the book, except every model in the unit is it's own unit. So if you have a 5 man warrior unit that has a splinter cannon and a sgt upgrade. its possible that through shooting that the cannon will have three tokens first turn and everyone else has one.
SoB: Acts of Faiths are gonna work the same way in effect every sister is going to cast it on them self's since it on a per unit basis, Since this is different from a regular game and i know you get bonus for different thing's being meet, So your going get this tweek to the rule : when you get down to 50% or less you'll get a +1 to the roll, at 25% you get a +2 to your roll, at 10%you'll get a +3. And yes you can cast the same one over and over as long as you have the faith points to do so, from what i can tell that is the RAW.
These are gonna Get run by Zack to get the 100% approval, but in till you get the store and I have the final FAQ done assume that this is gonna be the rules at the event. I know

The ard boyz started a little late. They'll be done a round 6:30, so I'm hoping to get started by 7ish. Were playing 4 75 min rounds and dinner so it should be to bad.
