Hey last time someone said screw anything related too Iron Warriors, 1/3 of the ultramarines were destroyed (though that is a good thing) So hey old man screw you gym sock reaking nurgle marines rolled up in their fart sacks they call bodies, and the pink trannies that use sound as weapons..T5 marines hell i have lysol for them, and pink marines..well all khorne is a cure for that... Most of the new things scream Iron Warriors too, seriously will the boxes read: Made in Medrengard The flyer looks outstanding, also a big fan of the new raptor box, that just scream night lords, and im a dig fan of the huge juggernaut looking thing with the massive guns..yup that things getting caution stripes... A few things though, Demon princes wont be following the demon rules as theyre changing that, making them some new exalted rule i hear because their backgrounds were spess mahreeens And of course no plastic oblits, they will be with the mauler bits in failcast 3 to a box....DERP move GW another thing too anyone else stoked to see the primarch models foge world is making? Looks like the daemon engines are on large oval bases and are pretty massive. They'll be a good alternate army for when my depression over tyranids kicks in.
The one thought that does frighten me are the possible combos with the new codex and the white dwarf daemons. MWM was just won by a dude with 45 flamers and I know Erich tabled all 3 of his opponents this month with his daemons.
Cultist hordes, 2 wound chosen terminators, and daemon engines are going to be horrific with flamers and screamers as allies.

Very true and the crazy thing is that the terminators marked as chosen count as troops with abbadon.as he makes chosen troops...so think deathwing with probably a bit more firepower

Don't worry, I got some hollowed our blue animated armor and some pissed off red guys with a weird cranial fixation that will hit that table soon too! So you will be able to share the hate between all the real chaos cults. Again screw those safety taped rusted out excuses for chaos marines. I have been having fun at the local monthly events ( again, good job Smitty ) but really have zero desire to feed models to armies like these. Hopefully some local player doesnt start showing up with a new fistful of these models because "he just fell in love with the sculpts and couldn't live without them in his army". One small request please, can we wait until the new Chaos Codex gets an official release before we start breaking it? Almost forgot...  |

Listen here old man, (Doug) You can see the caution stripes from miles away yet you still march toward them and die in murderous hails of bolter fire. You are becoming as bad as Specials Iron Dragons. My Iron warriors have slain over 3 full companies of Iron Dragons by now and probably more of your sisters/grey knights. Im not afraid of your fart marines. Sounds like a challange! Bring it on!

FYI, I opened the crypt tonight that has held the finest marines of the galaxy in stasis since the neutering they received from Alessio and Gav. Out poured scores of spiky, angry goodness. I can almost feel the new power that will start flowing through them in just a few short weeks! Death to the false Emperor, the forces of Chaos have awoken!

In my defense I only took one unit of 6 flamers and 9 Screamers I do agree though that right now Daemons are REALLY REALLY good due to the changes to Flamers/Screamers. If I wanted to make a brutal Daemon list it would be Fateweaver with 3 sets of Screamers, and 3 sets of Flamers. How did they get 45 Flamers in? That is such a weird number - even double Force Org allows a maximum of 54 - so I assume 6, 8 man units of them maybe? Just sounds really unfun to me. Cultist hordes, 2 wound chosen terminators, and daemon engines are going to be horrific with flamers and screamers as allies. I have to be hones that I do love the new models for CSM and I will be adding them in as either allies or the primary det - I am more interested though in bringing the Daemon Engines to for a Forge centered force than anything else though. |

Yeah your list was pretty tame without any FMC's or spamming the new goodness.
IDK what the MWM winning list was, I just saw the statement in another Tyranid blog I read where he placed third and "first place was daemons with 45 flamers".
I like the daemon forge concept too. I even like the new daemon engines despite them smacking of yu-gi-oh or pokemon. I'm going to have to find a way to it in all the models I like.

When I first saw the new models, I immediately thought, "Dinobots."
You could go with a pterosaur, a couple of 4 legged fiend-o-osaurs, and a a dreadnight conversion for a Prince. I don't think a transformers theme would be my game, but I except to see a few on the internets.

Advance orders are up with lots of pics to drool over.
The Mutilators look boss but I'm not sure about the stretchy face. Doug, I'm counting on you painting up a whole company of them ASAP.
I like the Dark Apostle a lot, but finecast makes me sad. I'll have to work a couple into whatever army I build.
I bet Joe has some expert advice about assembling, painting, and playing with a finecast masterpiece like the Warp Smith.
$74 for the helldrake makes me sad.
I like the Mauler Fiend model a lot, I wonder what the stats & rules will be.
I hope they put out a cultist box aside from the Dark Vengeance box.

Holding off on any preorders myself until I see what I can fit in the army. There used to be a day when I bought at least one of everything that came out but that was when GW had their models more sanely priced. Great pics though, can't wait! |
