Even though the tournament was a bust. I'm glad we stuck around and played a couple games. Still had fun despite the failure of FFG.
Looking forward to a future X-wing event. Hopefully this game grows a bit. I think there were about 14 people there playing X-Wing. A pretty good turnout for such a fresh game. The size of the game helps as does the relative simplicity.

Yeah, I don't get the idea to scrap the event when 14 some odd people show up for the first event just because the prize support from Fantasy Flight Games didn't get there. Why not just play for store credit? I'd hate to see some of the out of towners become hesitant about showing up for future xwing events because of this.
Anyway, I got in a good butt kicking from Smitty and then a great team match with Konrad against his bro and another buffalo guy. (Sorry, forgot your name). 12 TIEs against 5 xwings and 1 ywing was insane but in the end Wedge and Garvin won the day for the rebels. It was crazy seeing all of the TIEs hitting each other and asteroids in the center of the board. Good stuff!

I had a blast playing that huge team game with you guys, I was surprised at the high amount of people that showed up to play. definitely could of still had a tournament.
