I wanted to let everyone know about Cool Mini or Not 's new Kickstarter project.
The game is called Wrath of Kings. An epic fantasy miniatures war game set in a stunning world. Beautiful miniatures, great art and fast rules!
The game is a fast paced, highly scalable, fantasy game.
I had the opportunity to demo the game at Gencon and it looks great. It plays fairly quick, regardless of the size of the game and uses d10's instead of d6's. The models are insanely detailed.
We are currently running a pledge drive at the store.
They have three different pledge levels and they are all very straight forward. $50 pledge gets you a faction starter and any stretch goals. $100 pledge gets you two faction starters and any stretch goals. $200 pledge gets you all 5 factions and any stretch goals.
Why would I pledge at the store when I could pledge at home?
I spoke with Derek "Oz" Osborne at Gencon. They are willing to come to the store and do a huge release party celebration. Derek is the head of sales for CMON, he would accompany the games lead designer as well as their media director on a trip to Rochester to put on a big show.
We will be hosting Demo's, Paint and Take's, speed painting contests and of course a tournament as well. We will also be feeding anyone that was a backer for the project.
How does it work?
Come into Millennium and pledge at the register. If you pledge the $50 or $100 level you will have to designate what faction you want when the funding period is over. All the product will be shipped to the store. If you have already pledged you can still back out and come pledge here.
Please take the time to look at the videos on the Kickstarter page. When they went live with the campaign they reached there funding goals in 10 minutes!!
CMON makes a ton of other great games as well. Most famous would be Zombicide. They also make Dark Age, Super Dungeon Explore, Relic Knights, Rivet Wars and recently funded Kaosball.
This is a good opportunity locally, to show your support for a national company and help put us on the map for miniatures gaming.
They are sending me early production models this week. I should have them by Friday hopefully. I will have the game set-up in the front area so that people can demo.
For those of you that are looking to get into a fantasy setting and only want to spend $100 dollars on a full force, this is the game for you.
I hope to see you all at the release celebration.
Feel free to ask me any questions.
