Hey Everyone,
The May Warhammer 40k tournament will be an 1,850pt event. It will be held on Saturday, June 28th at Game Corps in Wesleyville (2920 Buffalo Road, Wesleyville, PA 16510).
Entry fee is $15. Registration and setup for the event will begin at Noon. Dice rolling will start at 1:00pm.
General Information:
• The Warhammer 40,000 6th Edition rules will be used.
• Armies will consist of 1,850pts.
• Players may use one Standard Force Organization Chart.
• Players may include one Fortification in their army list.
• Players may also take up to one Allied Detachment or Data-Slate.
• Players may additionally take up to one Lord of War.
• All players must have the following to participate:
- Army List
- Rulebook
- Codex
- Any additional rules and/or FAQ’s
General Rules:
• All players must have their army list with them. All army lists will be checked by the Tournament Organizer by the end of round #1.
• If any illegal units and/or rules violations are found in a player’s list, at the minimum, the models and/or units in violation will be removed from all subsequent play. Also, tournament points may be deducted and/or the player may be removed from the tournament.
• If a player is found to have models and/or units in violation & they are removed, all of their opponents throughout the tournament will be credited with Victory Points for the unit(s).
• Please make sure that all models in your army are easily identifiable to your opponent. Counts as models may be used, but your opponent must be made aware as to what the unit is.
• Power Weapons – In any case where a model is armed with one or more Power Weapons, you must model the weapon to the appropriate type (sword, axe, maul, lance, etc…). Also, in your army list, it must be noted what Power Weapon type the model is equipped with.
• Tyranid Players may take an Allied Detachment of Tyranids using the Standard Allied Detachment Chart.
• Warlord Traits will be selected out of the Warhammer 40,000 rule book, a player’s codex, or off of the Forgeworld FAQ if the player is using a Forgeworld army list.
Terrain:
• Terrain will be preset on all tables but is not fixed.
• If you have a Fortification in your army list, you may slightly adjust terrain (up to 3”) to accommodate the fortification.
• If you cannot fit a Fortification on the table (even after slightly adjusting terrain) it will not be allowed to be used during that game but will not count as destroyed towards mission objectives.
Fortifications:
• All of the Fortifications in the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook & Stronghold assault are allowed.
• Fortifications placed on the table may not be within 3” of another piece of terrain, if you cannot fit your terrain on the table, it counts as being destroyed.
• If a player is using a “Network Fortification”, they may select up to any 3 choices from the Fortification entry.
• If you are running any Fortification in your army, you must have the actual Fortification model or an acceptable WYSIWYG conversion of the Fortification that is the same dimensions as the model it is representing. Also any conversions must be approved by the Tournament organizer prior to the event.
Lords of War & Destroyer Weapons:
• Lords of War – Please refer to the Warhammer 40k 7th Edition rulebook for the following unit entries:
- Super Heavy Vehicles & Flyers
- Gargantuan Creatures & Flying Gargantuan Creatures
• Destroyer Weapons – Please refer to the Warhammer 40k 7th Edition rulebook for these weapons.
**** Additionally, please follow these rules when shooting at Fortifications:
- On a result of a “1” – nothing happens
- On a result of a “2-5” – the model suffers a Solid Hit. The model suffers a Penetrating hit that causes the Fortification to lose D3 Armour Value Points instead of 1. Cover & invulnerable saves may be taken.
- On a result of a “6” – the model suffers a Devastating Hit. The models suffers a Penetrating hit that causes the Fortification to lose D6=6 Armour Value Points instead of 1. Cover & invulnerable saves may not be taken.
Forgeworld & Horus Heresy:
• Forgeworld units and/or army lists as well as Horus Heresy armies will be allowed in the tournament.
• Restrictions (the following are not allowed):
- Any units called out as “Apocalypse” only.
- Strategic Assets, Stratagems, etc…
- Units with “Experimental Rules”
• You may include 1 Lord of War in your army list. This includes: Gargantuan Creatures, Super Heavies, Primarchs, etc… provided there are approved Forgeworld 40k rules for the units.
• If you are using a Forgeworld unit(s) and/or army list, you must have all of the rules & FAQ’s for them with you.
• Conversions – If you are using Forgeworld units in your army that are not actual Forgeworld models, WYSIWYG conversions are acceptable, but all must be provided by majority of the League Judges. Also, conversions must be fully painted in order to be approved.
• Horus Heresy armies may only ally with other Horus Heresy armies.
• Any rules anomalies and inconsistencies that occur within the Heresy rulebook being used in standard 40k will be ruled in favor in accordance with the 40k rulebook.
