....or perhaps the team capt. could tell each person on his team what two 200pt. force org slots they are responcible for.
(ex. IronWarrior, you take a troop and a heavy, Wolflord, you take a troop and a fast. Shortbus, you take a troop and a fast. and so on...)

It depends on how many people we get. I dont want the game to be too big. This is supposed to be a real team game. I want it were no one can really go solo and go through everyones squads. I want it to be about picking a troop choice and learning how to play it, learn what it can and cannot do (yes most of us know how to use our troop choices, but there are others that dont that may be playing) Some of us have a hard time working well with others. This is to promote and help build team spirit, motivation and ease the tension out there, not to mention fun.
I think adding too many more points and you will lose the dynamic of whats trying to be accomplished. But I will look into it.
Also vehicle may be too over powered in a game like this, or ineffective. With saying too much I will leave it at that.

What I may do is this:
Each PLAYER can have 2 selections of 200 points of troops. Each TEAM can have 200 points from 1 Elite, Fast, Heavy, or HQ - In order to use the Elite, Fast, Heavy, HQ the player (assigned by the Team Captain) must drop one Troops selection and replace it with his 200 selection of Elite, Fast, Heavy or HQ
-ALL players must have at least 1 troops selection of 200 points or less.

Quick question just for clarification...
Is that 1 troop choice including any vehicle upgrades it might take? Say 8 guys, + Rhino + vet sarge? for example.

Try Again? This time Leader gets 100 points of HQ instead of assigning it to another person. This is in addition to his 400 points of troops.
Im open to other suggestions (only we be able to see this until 3am tonight...no internet at home)

100 points for a hq? may as well say no hq or
we could also just use combat patrol rules on pg182 of the black book.
400 point armies must have 1 troop may have 1 hq no models with more than 2 wounds no special characters no 2+ saves no vehicles with armor total greater than 33 no ordnance weapons And we could modify the rules to achieve the theme we're looking for...
like commander gets 500 points... at least 1 player on a team must have 2 troop choices maybe vehicles can be above 33 armor... at least it would be more flexible for armies that 200 points is a bad number for a troop unit.

If that what people want to do thats fine...
My personal problems with the patrol is that it restricts alot of stuff people may want to use for an off game, like termies or a russ or what ever. Seemed like 200 was a fine number only problem was the HQ was over the top.
But im up for something new.

we would definately need to keep the 2 squad theme though... or else someone could take 5- 5 man las plas marine squads
