The land Raider assault doors dropped open and the orange and yellow glare of the setting sun bathed the dark red armor of Chaos Lord Valdrid. Spying his prey, and small band of Grey Knight Terminators led by their Grand Master, Valdrid lept forward out of the Land Raider. His terminator armor shook the ground as his servo-motors and legs worked together to charge forth. The Grey Knight Grand Master sensed his impending doom and turned to face the Mighty Chaos Lord. Valdrid closed on the Grey Knight, his Daemon Weapon Kor'teth charged in Khornate fury! Each step brought him closer to his opponent. The world seemed to slow down for a split second. Time slowly ticked by as Valdrid raised his arms and brought the Bloodfeeder Kor'teth up in a killing blow. His muscles tensed as he prepared to unleash an inhumanly complex series of attacks. Centuries of battle had trained him for this moment! His combat prowess was unmatched by any foe he had encountered before. His quick reflexes assured that the Grey Knight would be dead before he even had a chance to react.
the Bloodfeeder Axe Kor'teth swung in a mighty arch, a grim smile spread across Valdrid's face. But wait....
What was that smell? Some pungent perfume....? it seeped into Valdrid's helmet past his respirator filters and waifed into his nostrils. He had never encountered this scent before. Like cheap Cologne that your Aunt buys your for Christmas from AVON, the smell invaded his senses.
Valdrid felt his arms growing weaker, his stride slowed.
What was happening?! What was this effect? How could a mighty Chaos Lord, fall to such a small thing?
The Grey Knight Grand Master smiled, this was the moment he had waited for and now his time to strike was at hand. With an inhuman blow he brought his power Lance through the armor of the Chaos Lord and watched his bulk slump to the battle field. With a jerk he wretched his lance free of the carcass of the fallen heretic and stepped over his corpse..... the air smells of fey fey lilies and cheap perfume.
Ah.. he murmured to himself, Sacred incense, the best 10 points he ever spent.
