Ok folks here is the Format of next month's event: - 1500 pts (I will bump Sept back up to 1850)
- Standard book missions
- 2.5 hrs rounds but I will start rounds earlier if everyone is finished
- I will have the tables preset WITH the option if you and your opponent agree to it, to do player set terrain. (remember I only have 8-10 pieces of terrain per table)
- Our usual schedule 9ish set up, 9:30 registration, 10:00 first round start
Also if you can bring terrain it would be greatly appreciated.

Results (Top 3): 1) Zach w/ Imperial Guard (Terminator Allies of some variety) 2) Me w/ Necrons 3) Walter w/ Necrons
Had alot of fun trying to figure out these new fangled rules, luckily my army makes up for my handicap.

Good times. Thanks to Travis for hosting and prizes, and Smitty for running as usual. Saw some new faces and played some really entertaining games. Plus, there were some really nice looking armies to be seen. Horst's BA & Guard Courtney's Necrons vs Iron Warrior's Deathwing Mike taught me how good sisters can be in 6th and actually killed these wraiths and NDK in assault. Walter's "Women of the Church" (he's a pastor) themed necrons also schooled me in how to lose assaults. Finally, Trevor gave me a cinematic showdown in a shootout against space wolves. My thanks to all 3 for great games.

Here are some pics I took of my games. Game 1 vs Trent (I believe). Apologies if I got your name wrong. He had an awesome looking Cobra themed Guard army. We did player set terrain and you can see that he used it conveniently to cut down on my fire lanes. I knew I only would have 2-3 turns of shooting to knock out his armor before it would reach my lines. Unfortunately I did not do enough damage and I ended up getting tabled. His deployment Too many hull points and not enough anti-tank Cue the "Flight of the Valkyries" Model view from my back lines. ( sorry about Bill's ass shot. Didn't see that when taking the pic) Game 2 was against Horst. Horst and I played a practice game a week ago and his list was pretty much the same while I used an Eldar/Dark Eldar combo during the practice game. In this tourney I used Eldar/Tau. Knowing from my practice game with him I knew that once astorath and crew came on I was going to be in trouble. I ended up getting the win thanks to First blood. Couple of highlights of the game (at least for me) was my broadsides snap firing into astrorath's stormraven the turn it came on and exploding it, killing all but astorath himself. Eldrad then issued a challenge and tied him up for 2-3 turns. Astorath killed Eldrad and then Horst opted to assault my broadsides with Astorath and 2 Death Company guys. My broadsides died but before they went down they were able to sucker punch the last wound off of Astorath. Win for me. Shot during deployment. Game 3 was against Doug. He was fielding Marines with GK Allies. He set up fortifications in his right corner first so I opted to go on the opposite corner to maximize the amount of shooting that I could use before he would close in on me. With no vehicles in his list and two in mine I knew this would be a foot slogging shooting match. As in game 1, Doug deployed terrain cannily enough to cut down on my line of sight, giving my broadsides and Dark Reapers, leaving very few fire lanes. As predicted, a shooting match. Doug got first blood for knocking down my wave serpent but I was able to hold two objectives to his one. It would have been interesting to see how it would have played out if it went to a turn 6 as he was gunning for my one objective being held by 6 fire warriors. The biggest benefit I had was rolling the psychic power that allows a unit to gain "Ignore Cover". My Dark Reapers and Broadsides were able to clean out 2 squads of marines nicely with this ability. Draw for me and Doug. Overall a fun day with three great matches and opponents.

Good game kevin If only you failed one or two of those saves on the broadsides when the stormravens shot at you... I guess it wasn't meant to be. They were definitely the MVP's of our game for you!

Results (Top 3): 1) Zach w/ Imperial Guard (Terminator Allies of some variety) *Zack. Guard semi-armored force with Belial and a squad of Deathwing for the dirty work. you all can blame courtney for letting me take this one, shoulda let dean get more bonus points. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D but really it was enjoyable for my first 6th event, no problems with games, solidified some goofy rules, and played a few armies you dont see around too much any more.

Congrats to all. I had a good time playing although learning the new rules sometimes still bogs down each game. Thanks to all three of my opponents who provided me with interesting and hard fought games.
