We should ban all lists from our local tournaments with more than 4 fliers or 4 flying monstrous creatures.
I've been wracking my brain for a few days trying to figure out how to beat the 11+ necron flier lists, and I just can't. So screw em. Ban that nuts! Nobody can have more than 4 fliers in a list ><

This needs a poll to evoke true nerd rage.
But seriously, the only flyer that bothers me when spammed is the doom scythe. With 36" movement and 12" range it can hit any place on the table when it arrives as well as multiple targets both with the death ray and tesla arcs. 3 of these can table some armies by themselves for less than 600pts.

That or vendetta gunship spam..3 squadrons of 3 will waste everything and looks much cooler than Necron flyers so cool factor = win plus the whole 27 twin linked lascannons..oh and Horst just play chaos when it comes out the dragon will shred Crons flyers considering it can vector strike and still fire a str8 heavy 4 gun problem solved..plus the hole skyfore demon weapons and flak missiles on havocs etc

Guard lists with the anti aircraft gun or future units with the interceptor rule are the best answer. They get to shoot them when they come on (right?) with their BS. I think the key to beating this list is to make sure their movements are legal. Your turn you move as fast as you can to get within 18" of his deployment edge. Remember he can not turn while moving and maintain flyer so potentially he can not shoot you first turn. Or Drop pod into his DZ and kill all his units not in reserve...then he loses first turn hehe.

Dark angels have the Mortis Dreadnought, most other space marines have the Comtemptor Mortis Dreadnought, Whirlwind Hyperios and Hyperios Platforms. All fliers have skyfire rule so you can always use your fliers to shoot theirs.
And before we start the basic rules no longer have any mention about forge world being optional/unofficial. Some tournament organizers may ban them using their own special "in our biased opinion house rules" but those same tournament organizers could equally ban the Grey Knight Codex or Sisters of Battle or the Chapter approved and still most recent Kroot Mercenaries list.
My opinion you paid for it and opponents consent is written in the forge world codexs as "NOT Required" so shoot down some air craft with the options you got. Cause there are lots of options out there.

Ill stick w playing warhammer 40k not Imperial Armor that whole forge world models thing, there should be consent involved we don't all have rediculous disposable incomes and can afford the rediculous models go ahead and play with them against other guys who have those things..there's no problem playing the game as is, hell necrons with all fliers is not unbeatable, we've seen it down here and d**n orcs crushed it, hell I did with Eldar..I like forgeworld models I hate all the rediculous rules

Actually a lot of the Forgeworld stuff is pretty underwhelming. I have not seen anything in forgeworld since their own version of the tank force that makes much of a difference.

I like some of that reasoning... Ill stick w playing warhammer 40k not 40K + Grey Knights and Blood Angels that whole WAAC out over powered to cheap compared to everything thing, there should be consent involved when playing those "optional rules" Rules should be more ballanced like the ones forgeworld makes.
Oh and while we are at it can "normal" GW stop putting out rules we have to learn for no apparent purpose. Even look at the Imperial guard book there are rules for whole tanks that have no models. At least forge world only puts out rules for things that are actually a physical part of the game. Not some I would take if if some day they put one out.

Ill agree with your reasoning..but hey maybe the rules forgeworld puts out along with supplemental models are a way for GW who makes rediculous profits off of forgeworld to get people to buy ridiculously overpriced models: brilliant marketing scheme..ill agree with you there are just some armies that are way ahead of the curve..blood angels? I wouldn't count them in that category I play foot Eldar and nob biker armies with my chaos making occasional appearances and not once have I had an issue with bangels grey knights aren't so rediculous anymore, where are imperial guard and necrons in your last statement? Currently they have the best combos for 6th..and hell if grey knights weren't so much cheaper to field mechanized there probably would've been more guard armies winning you want a cure for grey knights and blood angels? Im assuming with your name you play guard which can still decimate e dry army in the game...got an issue with grey knights? Cure :the vendettas and vets..problem with blood angels? d**n um guard and can out shoot the queer red marines without very much effort at all.. sarcasm aside I see your point I agree, but I don't have a rediculous disposable income and the armies I have I've built over the last 10 years or so..so forgive me for not wanting to play against a plethora of models and units I don't have any clue about...so maybe if say you'd play against me in a fun environment you could show me yours what you intend to play with their rule sets and than I wont have to be like whoa oh nuts that's not in the codex: more often than not if you just throw things on the table that the other player knows nothing about and I approach it in a f**k you matt ward makes op rules so I can field whatever I want and you don't have to know about it, its probably a good thing to ask first out of courtesy . See in the military we have this thing called implied tasks and in this situation the implied task would be hell let me discuss this unit with it s rules and how hell see that its not so bad...see everyones happy? Pardon my thingy tone but that's more or less my issue are people just throwing nuts on the table not explaining nuts and seemingly making it up as they go along..I could give 2you nutss whether someone wants to field 500mechanized Jokero with lascannons cause hey I know what it is, that's all, no hate that's just my gripe. Peace and love

i hate the necron flier list. and i havnt even played against it. and i hate leafblower too. and i hate chaos daemons with flamey stuff...... and i hate other armies that wont just lie on the ground and let me plant the flag of terra in their throat. there are ways around it. just gotta think latteraly. as soon as gw is done with selling cron'air they will WD release flakk missles and buh-bye. untill then im running infantry hordes and ignoring them. besides im getting used to skaven so i am growing fond of removing models.
