Since Brian is talking about a world eaters army, I thought it might be fun to make a counter to it in the form of a Thousand Sons army. What I think it would look like is this
Arhiman.
Lesser Sorcerer of T
Dreadnogt, with TBD weapons
4x squads of nine boys in blue
2 daemon packs
1 greater daemon
What do y'all think I should throw in or drop out?

Looks like a fun list to play. That's a lot of AP3 6 choices for the Greater Daemon to pop from makes him a pretty solid choice (I'm pretty sure they can possess Aspiring Sorcerors). Dreads are always risky. Odds say that 2 turns each game, he's going to do something you don't want him to do. If you're thinking of using him for reliable Anti-Armor, maybe a Pred instead? The only other thing I would consider would be some bikes for mobility. This army is going to be slow moving across the field. Bikes could claim objectives, reinforce the 1000 sons when they get stuck in HTH, and would make a nice primer for a Daemon bomb. Maybe throw your Sorceror on a bike as well and get some extra range out of the Bolt of Change. And Bikes + Turbo Boost + MoT = 2+ invulnerable save Just some thoughts.

I know I'm a newb and don't really have the experience behind what I say, but I really love the fluff of the Chaos Dreadnaught. What's more chaotic than a Dreadnaught with a chance to go nuts and turn on whomever is closest to him, friend or foe? That's sweet chaos at the core!

Oh, I agree. I usually have at least one in my army and sometimes 2. And it's not just becuase they are painted and everything else isn't The only thing I was commenting on was the reliability. If you're going to tool up the Dread with a TL Las, and hope it will hunt tanks all game, then just beware of the risk. However, if you want a potentially crazy, friend-killing, hand-to-hand fire magnet that's fun as heck, then the dreadnaught is your man ;D

Looks like a fun and fluffy army. Your troops while slow moving will be able to mow down anything in their way as they foot slog it. The dreadnoughts are fun also. I like their crazy rules. I just hate the look of the model. One reason I took Kharn in my army. If he rolls a to hit of 1, those hits strike my troops instead. adds some fluff and flavor like the dreadnought.

Good to hear what you guys have to say, there are a few things I disagree with for fluff reasons. Namely the predator and bikes because of the thousand sons being all....dusty, I don't think that they would be riding bikes. The predator is a little less unfluffy to me, because the rubric marines inside might be able to drive. For anti armor I was considering a pair of defilers, but make them Tzeentchy.
