I'm a gamer new to who has been trying to pain on and off for years and am really looking for someone to help teach me a few techniques. Probably what draws me to the game more than anything is the painting and modeling and I would really like some help with technique. If there is anyone with the time and patience to help it would be greatly appreciate.

I'm sure you can find people to help you out. I just wanted to make a suggestion. I found that for me, I learned a lot just by looking at other people's models, finding something I liked, and either visualizing how it was done, or asking if I couldn't figure it out on my own. By doing this, my painting has evolved quite a bit over the years, and I think my newer stuff looks a hell of a lot better than my older stuff. (my problem now is the mix and match armies of old paint jobs and new paint jobs.)
Hope this helps.

Here is a link to a min site that has alot of fine examples and some tutorials that can help you with technique. I will caution you about posting there since there are some painting elite that are not very kind to new artist. Check it out... www.coolminiornot.comAlso GW has some basic techniques on its website as well that are helpful. Again I invite you to stop by the store some sunday afternoon. There are usually people there playing and painting that will be happy to help you. This sunday will probably not be the best however since there is a 2500 pt tourney, but if you arent doing anything cme down to watch or play.
