Anyone have a really good way of making armor looking ancient??? Currently I have Lysander's armor painted brazen brass.

Painting wise there are a number of ways to make something look older.
First off, you can fade the color that the armor would normally be. Just mix in a little codex grey with your usual color to tone it down. Scratches and damage are next. Depending on how well maintained you want it to look, you can really beat the hell out of the thing. At the very least, some light stippling with some boltgun metal will give it the impression of having weathered some serious damage.
Another approach is to paint certain sections with a very bright and clean look to contrast the faded look of the rest of the armor. IE: His left shoulder pad got completely obliterated and had to be replaced.
In the case of space marines, scripture, purity seals, and other honors will help distinguish your man. And if you're okay with a little lack of maintenance, rust always does the job.
