I keep seeing different interpretations of rules when a unit flees a charge and would love clarification.
A 6 inch wide unit with an eight inch charge declares a charge on the center unit of three four inch wide units placed right next to each other.
1. Do all three units need to declare their reaction or only the middle (charged) unit?
2. If the center unit flees, does the line of charge extend directly forward of the charging unit PRIOR to movement (6 inches wide to full charge distance or is it directly toward the final position of the fleeing unit?
3. If the center unit flees would the charger be able to declare a charge on only one of the two remaining units?
4. If the center unit fleeing exposes the flank of the unit to the charger's right, the charger declares that as the new charge and the unit decides to flee (or fails a test) do units on the new line of charge become exposed to a potential charge or does the original, straight ahead line of charge still hold?
I'm sure with a white board I could make this even more complicated but this situation comes up regularly in my tournament play and for some reason I'm not getting the same 'hey, let's just work it out and play' that I get at Boldo's.
