I know recently in a few games there have been some rules brought up that we may have missed or didnt realize so I went back through the book and the FAQ and found some answer for you:
What if the Company Command team is a tank that is bailed out? Do nearby platoons still get to reroll?
Yes they do
Does a tank within 6" of the Company commander get to re-roll motivation tests to remount after the crew bailed out?
Yes- but not for that reason, The company Commander must be within 6" of the Platoon command team for the platoon to be able to re-roll motivation tests. His presence near other members of the platoon is irrelevant - Of Course, if the company command team is with in 6" of the Platoon Command team, then any Bailed out tanks will be able to re-roll failed Motivatrion tests to remount thier tanks
What happens if my infantry do pass the Motivation test and assualt a tank platoon of bailed out tanks
Since the tanks are bailed out, they wont fire any Defensive fire. The assualt goes as normal until the end of the first round. At this point since there are no enemy involved in the assualt within 4" of your infantry and capable of fighting back, you win the assualt. Any enemy teams involved in the assualt withing 4" of your troops immediatly surrender!
Do troops held in Reserve or otherwise held off the table count for COmpany morale checks?
No they dont! Only teams platoons actually on the table at the time the moral check is made are counted. This can result in a company taking a COmpany Morale Check for one or more turns due to being under half strength before reserves arrive and bring them back over half strength.
Can the 2iC Command team take compant morale checks if the Company COmmand team is destroyed?
No it cannot. Although the 2iC is capable of taking command of the company and keep it fighting if the Company Command team is destroyed, they do not have the leadership to pull it through once it has tanken serious casualties. Only the expericnced Company Command team has it to keep on fighting once half of its plattons are destroyed.
Do Observer Teams have to deploy within Command distance of thier artillery battery
No they do not. In general any team can deploy anywhere in thier deployment area at the startt of the game. They do not have to deploy with the rest of thier platoon.
Can an observer team mounted in a tank dismount
No. The tank doesnt have the room for backpack radios and extra radio operatores to allow the observer to communicate after dismounting.
Can I mount or dismount (or limber or unlimber a gun) at the start of my Stormtrooper move
Yes you can, provided that you started the turn dismounted or mounted as appropiate. You may mount or dismount at the start of any movement, including assualts and Stormtrooper moves.
