I was wondering if there were any details about the DaBoyz GT? I know it might be early, but I was wondering if a points total for armies was decided. Laura and I want to go, but I wanted to know the points so we could work on buying extra points if needed and painting of course!

I would be interested in helping to organize the event, but not if it's Valentines Day weekend.

From the WHFB board further down the page, it looks like the DaboyzGT for WHFB is that weekend as well. Does it make more sense anyway to split them up?

can I use a grey knight dreadnought with a psycannon in this tournament because it is in imperial Armour?

last year they said that you couldn't use forgeworld rules, only the models. If you can give a dreadnought a psycannon in the DH book, then there shoudlnt be any issue.

As one of last years organizers I hope I can speak with/for Doug in asking if anyone wants to "Volunteer" for the task.

I personally think this is at least a 2 person job (which helps so that no one person gets all the inevitable blame) So at least 2 volunteers are needed.

Come on guys, DaBOYZ belongs to all of us. Let's have some new people volunteer to take their turn at this.

What is and isnt allowed is up to the tournament organization team, so its too early to ask that. But I say paint it up Mr. Shortbus123 cause we still want to see it.

i will be willing to help organzie this, only thing is it will be my first event so if everyone is ok with me tring to help out with this, then i ask i have help from someone with previous experiance.

I will help with whatever is necessary, as long as it's not on Vday. As for running it, I've been told this is better left to the veterans. Maybe next year.

Boldo confirmed yesterday that the Daboyz 40k GT will be held at Simcon, not GAGG. The WH Fantasy GT will be held at GAGG as Boldo posted elsewhere on the webpage. Simcon is in March, so we no longer have the V-day conflict. According to Kemp, Jay is running the 2009 40kGT. Not sure how many helpers he will need, but you should contact him directly if you are interested.

Again, it is my understanding that Jay is going to run this. It is not confirmed with the club. I think that anyone who wants to run this should indicate their interest and then we hold a democratic vote. Does that sound appropriate? If so, then please indicate your interest here and we will then put together an election.

Yes, I said last year I would to like to run the tournament this year (with help). One thing we discussed last year was to have someone from Syracuse and Buffalo also be helping out. I think we would definitely get someone from Syracuse to help. I don’t know about buffalo (anyone know anyone from buffalo). In my opinion that person will help make the missions, judge painting and comp. I will post something on their web page in next week. I know some of them will be coming out and playing in the Ard boyz. Maybe we can be discussed then… over a beer or something. The last time I talk to John Adams he was interested, but they have a whole group of good players that might want to do it.

If someone else wants to run it I am fine with it, but I believe if we get the other gaming clubs involved we will have a better turn out.

John A. here: I would still like to help out, and I will be at Millennium for Ardboyz so we can discuss at leisure there. I am positive that having someone from Syracuse helping to promote and plan the event would get a lot more of our people to make the drive.

Glad to hear that it may not be conflicting with V-Day. I could probably make it still, but I am married to a VERY understanding woman. Your average Joe married gamer is usually not so lucky.

I know that the original thought was that someone from Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo equally run the tournament. Again, this hasn't fully been decided by the club but I hope that it is deemed to be a good idea. On a personal note, I hope that you help run it so in case I end up playing - you don't beat me again.

Has anyone thought about adding the Da Boyz GT to the GW tournament circuit? A few months ago I was approached by Chris Gohlinghorst to see what we could do about getting one in the North East.

Sounds interesting to me. Adepticon is a part of the circuit and they run it pretty much however they want. So you've probably got all the lee-way you need to make it your own special brand, while still being a part of the GW circuit machinery.

And no worries, heads will roll (or get rolled over) in Baltimore.
