Hello Daboyz!
As a former Boldo's Armoury 40k player and the event coordinator for the 1st annual Warhammer 40k tournament sponsored by the Student Association at SUNY Albany I am inviting any Daboyz members to this exciting event! Get a chance to test out those Baltimore GT armies before the fray at this event!
The tournament will be held on Saturday November 8th at the University at Albany Ballroom.
The address is 1400 Washington Ave Albany, New York 12222
This being the first year of a Warhammer tournament but by no means the last, we at The Guild (the tournament coordinating organization), are committed to hosting a competent and entertaining tournament experience complete with Big cash and gift card Prizes.
The tournament specs are as such:
-1500pts per army using GT legal army lists
-3 games throughout the event
-The event will begin at 11a.m. on Saturday with registration starting at 10a.m.
-Emphasized Sportsmanship, Painting and Battle points system
-Swiss system of tournament match ups
-The tournament will be considered open with regards to army lists
-Each winner will have a choice in prizes between a cash prize or a gift certificate $10 in excess of the cash prize to our on-site vendor. Additionally the prize options will be multiplied for every 10 players. (i.e. if there are 20 players then the cash prize or the gift certificate will be 2X the prize, 3X for 30 players and so on with a minimum of $15 per prize.)
-Best Sportsman and Best Painted both get to choose between $15 cash prize or $25 gift certificate (subjected to the multipliers if applicable)
-Best Overall gets to pick between $25 cash prize or $35 gift certificate (again subject to multipliers)
-Players choice will receive a $10 gift certificate
-All prize winners will receive a trophy for the event
-The cost to attend the event at the door will be $10 and $8 for preregistration.
-Preregistration will be heavily encouraged and anyone can preregister by emailing their army list to ac368766@albany.edu
