Excellent job at The Den. Very fun and friendly atmoshpere. The objective cards were pretty cool and made for some interesting games.
Thanks Travis for running the tourney and Steve for helping coordinate between our gaming communities. Hopefully we will see some Coyote guys at Boldos for our first of the month tourney.

Mike what a kiss ass!!! "Thank you for letting me win, any rules that put me in first are alright by me"...LOL
Seriously, it was a fun time, not 100% sold on the whole mission objective thing since there are times you can get a primary mission that you God couldn't hope to achieve (it happened twice to me), but like I said it was a fun time and I would definitely enjoy playing there again.
Thank you for having us down there, hopefully we will see some of the Den players at GAGG as well.

really, what objective could a potentially balanced iron hands army not achieve?
Thought the missions were great, it was a cool way of doing things. If y'all remember post what your missions were.

I had:
Game 1
- Have more scoring units within 12" of the center of opponents deployment zone - Have all my units out of my deployment zone - kill 2 of opponents compulsory troop choices
Game 2 - have more scoring units in both left board quarters of the table( had this for 2 cards) - have more scoring units with 6" of left board edge
Game 3 - Kill all opponents Heavy Support choices. If none kill all vehicles. (he had none,s o I had to kill all of his vehicles) - Kill highest point HQ - Have moring scoring units within 12" of opposite deployment corner

Game 1 - All friendly "scoring" units in my own deployment zone.
- The most scoring units within 6" of the left short table edge
- the most scoring units in the left two board quarters
Game 2 - All friendly "scoring" units in my own deployment zone.
- The most scoring units within 6" of the left short table edge
- the most scoring units in the left two board quarters
Game 3 - All friendly "scoring" units Outside my own deployment zone.
- The most scoring units within 6" of the right short table edge
- 3 scoring units in the enemy deployment zone
On a personal gripe, i dont think in the future requesting to see an army list would be out of order. Our favorite Space wolf palyer was using at least 2282 pts, and all his HQs were terminators with 4+ invulnerable saves. (which cant be done) Additionally if you dont have the model you cant use it. ("I am not paying to buy or make a drop pod i just use the rules") He had 3 imaginary drop pods Other personal gripe. I never got in all of my games to pick a table. I was always the last pair! So many nice tables that i never got to see.

Game 1 2 on 2 partnered with Orks vs Dark Angels and Imperial Guard
-Kill their most expensive HQ unit -Kill their highest point cost unit -Most scoring units in the largest piece of terrain
After an hour set up, we finally got to play all 45 minutes. We managed to complete two rounds but could not come anywhere near their highest point unit and HQ (same unit) since it was hidden in the far back corner. Six rounds would have made a difference I think but there was no way my "balanced" Iron Hands or Tommy's cheddar colored Tau could have completed the primary and first secondary mission. The only points score were having more units in the largest terrain piece thanks to Ron's orcs.
Game2 1 on 1 vs Orville's Space wolves
-Most scoring units on the right hand side -Most scoring units 6" from the left table edge -Majority of your units in you deployment zone
Easy and enjoyable game. I traded shots with Orville for the first four round while blocking his advance by sacraficing my vindicator and dreadnought in areas to block terrain. All my objectives were easily accomplished, while all of Orville's were as well.
Game 3 1 on 1 vs Kevin's Space Marines, and Inquisitor, and Guard....
-Most units with 12" of enemies corner in his deployment zone -Most units on the left side corners -Most units in the highest piece of terrain
I gave it a good shot. I had long ranged fire superiority over Kevin which I tried to use to keep his advance from happening. This tactic worked well while I tried advancing one dreadnaught and my vindicator into Kevin's starting quarter to control the tallest piece of terrain. On turn 3 I deep struck my libriarian with terminator command squad into his deployment zone. I tried "Oooga Booga" which managed to get 1 of the 4 units in range to run off the board, as well as shooting the piss out of his terminators, a valant effort and my only hope of scoring my primary objective, but all in vain since I was slaghtered where I stood by every avalable gun in his arsenal the next turn. Turn 6 had my vindicator reach its objective only to fall to the firepower of Kevin's guns before the game concluded. The only points scored were for having my units on the two left edges of the board. ____________________________________________________
It was enjoyable, but there were problems... -There players need to READ their codexes and UNDERSTAND the rules. We are playing 4th Edition, not 3rd or 2nd or whatever you want the rules to be. Ex. Escallation is detailed in the BBB, not placing two troops, that is not escallation. ( I cannot say I had any problems in this area outside a possible illegal command unit turn 1) -There players need to play LEGAL list and someone need to check them before or during the game ( Again, no problems except turn 1 possibly but for God's sake if you use armory weapons and equipment, you do not just get them, YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM!! ) -Rolling in the boxes sucks my ass. I am not saying I was cheated by anyone, I am saying my son was cheated by a deep box and slight of hand.Being 12 he is somewhat intimaded by adults so I hope the adult that cheated a 12 year old feels real good about themselves. Coyote's Den, your terrain is nice but you are F#$%ing crazy if you think dice rolls are destroying your terrain. THE BOXES placed on them do far more damage, get a clue!!!! ( No problems here EXCEPT one of the unnamed older player who should know better cheating my son. You sir are an lovable guy!!! Units do not come in on a one, and my son saw the one before you scooped it up.) -If you do not like a rule it is not "Bull$hit!!!" it is the rules. ( That was enjoyable to listen to, well worth the price of admission!!!) -In the future linking the main objective together with two hidden secondaries may be a better way to play since the current system creates a way for both players to score all their objectives and sometimes seldom actually have to battle. -While comp and painting are part of the hobby, I don't believe that it would work at the Den. I enjoyed playing don't misunderstand, but I also saw that there are some players there that would downgrade players in both areas just so they could win. That is not fair but I GUARANTEE it would be ramant if introduced. If you ever think of using painting and comp I would strongly suggest it is indepenently judged by non-players in that tourney (ie. the organizer) who understands the game.
I did have fun but also see several flaws and I hope I wasn't too harsh when pointing these out. ;D

WHEN I FIRST TALKED TO YOU GENTLEMEN ABOUT PLAYING AT BOLDO'S, YOU HAD SPOKEN TO ME ABOUT THE USE OF MISSION CARDS. I MISSED THE SEPTEMBER TOURNEY AT BOLDO'S ,SO I PLAYED AT THE COYOTE'S DEN.
AT THE DEN, PATRICK AND I GOT THERE TO EARLY, SO I TALKED TO HIM ABOUT MISSION CARDS.
HE LIKED THAT IDEA AND CAME UP WITH WHAT YOU SAW YESTERDAY.
I THINK WE COULD DO BETTER, 1) STANDARD MISSION (4 POINTS)+ 2) HIDDEN OBJECTIVE (3 POINTS)+ 3) KILL RANGE POINTS: 500-999 (1 POINT) 999-1399 (1 POINT) 1400-1500 (1 POINT) " THEY ALWAYS RUN AND HIDE WITH THE REMAINDER."
I THINK THIS A BETTER MILITARY SCENARIO.
IF GAME OBJECTIVES IS GOING TO BE A DISCUSSION FOR US, IT SHOULD HAVE ITS OWN THREAD.
DRAGON OUT ;D

Dragon, you "get it" I see. I am glad to have seen you yesterday and I do think your ideas would improve things as well as helping to grow the players at the Den into better players. Glad to see you Steve, hope we play some more soon.

I will let Tommy since he was the victim. The rest of us were there watching while "Mount Looney" came dangerously close to erupting.

uhm Rant section?
It was about area terrain. How you cant shoot at people behind it...
then it was about it my gun has a range of 12" i can only kill the models in range. (and only the ones i can see)
Game 2 my opponent exposed a whole unit of warp beast to fire cause his alternate was only the with beast master would be in line of sight. (read dark eldar codex for the bad consequences there but to quote Norton "hilarity ensues")
Each time a rule worked against him it was "Manure from a male bovine farm animal"
sigh
