There is a tournament at RIT on Sunday April 30. It is 1500pts starts at 10am, and is in room 1829 of the Student Union. I am guessing that the cost will be $5 or $10 and I was hoping that we could use some of the finshed terrain from which we are making for the Boyz GT.

I will not be there. Coyotes Den is hosting a tourney that same day, and I already told my brother we were going to that one.

Reminder of the tournament. I believe there will be pizza, and they give good prizes. It is 1500pts on April 30 at 10am at RIT student union. Please everyone make it if you can.

Here is an idea, how about the Coyote's Den players come out to a real tournament for a change. Real tourney defined as...
1) Real mission whre there is a winner and a loser, not "I get my 7 points, how about you..." 2) Everyone attending actually plays, not "We are out of tables, oops.." 3) Painting and comp are actually scored. (I know this is a hard concept but it works sometimes. Are you a little tired of seeing half painted armies?) 4) Real opponents, not the usual big fish in their small pond beating up on their usual opponents. It would be gret to see all the Den players, the Syracuse guys and Da Boyz in a big tourney.
Yes it costs money to play but pizza and prizes seem a fair trade. Hope you reconsider Ron. And Gabe, you are always complaining about the lack of painting and comp scores, so you are going to pass on this tourney to go to Coyote's Den where they have neither? I like the Den, but a real tourney wins hands down. Hope to see you there!

WELL OLD MAN, (AKA MAJOR SOB) THAT WAS A FINE HARANGUE YOU WROTE AND THEE "OLD DRAGON" AGREES WITH YOU 100%.
KINDA MAKES YOU WANT TO SEE A REAL TOURNEY, "COYOTE'S vs DABOYZ"
STOP SPINNING AND START PLAYING.
I THINK THERE IS ENOUGH INTEREST, I'LL PLAY FOR EITHER, JUST SO NO ONE GETS TURNED AWAY.
"LONE DRAGONS COME IN ODD NUMBERS" ;D ;D ;D

Normally Doug, I would agree with you quite a bit. But there are a few factors involved. My Brother happens to be a player with a half painted army. I'm hoping a tourney at the den will get him motivated without making him feel bad for not doing well. Also, I happen to like the mission objectives at the den. I think the system has merit. It does need some tweeking which is why I suggested we try our hand at designing our own rules set along a similar fashion. (Another thread) Too many of the current mission come down to who killed more. Not all military engagements come down to that. I think objectives beyond kill em all bring some of the tactical thinking back into the game.
If Dragon is right and the Den is not hosting a tourney, we will be at RIT. I just remember the last tourney at the den, at the end it was announced they were doing one on this sunday.

Good luck Gabe. I think it is a great choice to go to the Den and have your brother play. Don't misunderstand me, I like the Den and their tourney, just that a Rogue Trader style tourney comes in first given a choice. Hope you have fun there, and if plans change, then hope to see you at RIT.
