yah it was confirmed around the 4th of July. And i got to take the pin off the map at games day so that no one would be confused that GW actually cares about the veterans and some of the best players in the game. Seeing as Upstate New York took 1st and 2nd at the GT

I might go to Syracuse saturday for their 1000pt team tourney and talk with Terry then. I will see if he can sell or give us some of the terrain, its great stuff, i would hate seeing it go to waste.
I also called GW today and never made it past the bits order monkeys (actually got to the "supervisor"...LOL) and voiced my displeasure with their "corporate support". We talked dwindling support for their product, most GT becoming overpriced rogue traders, no outriders support (but this is being fixed, yeah right!), a GW store somewhere in the northeast all the while products like FOW, Reaper, Confrontation and warmachine seem to be teroding away at their market share. I don't want to see this game die but it does seem like my words fell on deaf ears since the people who make the decisions are locked in their ivory towers with the "Do Not Disturb" sign firmly attached to the gate. It is a sad day seeing western NY getting shafted, but I cant say I am suprised. I hope the members of the GW staff in Syracuse do well and land on their feet, still I love the game but I too am getting sick of supporting people who act like they couldn't really give a crap about the gamers who support them. I am planning a followup e-mail that I have been promised will be directed to the real powers that be by the bitz monkey supervisor but at this point I guess all it will do is make me feel like I have said my peace.

Hey Guys... reading this thread with interest...
I've done a couple of 40+ events, using "tables" supplied by the venue. We got around their crappy-ness by "borrowing" 4x6 boards from a local lumber supplier.
Develop a relationship with them, or contractor, and we were allowed to buy them on the Friday, and return them on the Monday. As long as they were not trashed they did not care - they were outside grade sheets!
It just cost us the $50 for a truck rental... and a few hours of spinter removal!

Is the info on GW's site correct about the GT? I was going to post a message on a couple of the boards in South Easter MA.

Alex, Are you going to be at store this Sunday, to talk about the GT. We need get together as a group and plan everything out.
Do we have the rules done for the 40k side?
Do we have enough tables, does anyone one have count of tables at the store. Has any one figured out who are bringing tables. Do the store need more.
Has anyone reserved a hotel yet?
How big is room we are using at RIT. What about tables do have enough. What size are they.
I will be bring 13 tables with terrain. Can i set them up the night before. If so can the room be locked?
Do we have a flier? Do we have anyone that sign up yet for the 40k side.
The people that have tables done, alex asked if we could take pictures of them, so we can put them on the web.
What about prizes? Do we have them? Are we doing anything.
Just a list of questions that need to be discussed.
