I have been talking on a lot of sites and they have suggested 2 things about advertising our tournament. First we should post ads for the tournament on various popular web sites like Dire Wolf, the Miniature page, and WPS. Also it has been suggested that we get someone to design us a snazzy tag for our emails which directs people to a web site about the tournament and we use this whenever we post on any web site about warhammer. But someone needs to design this and make it available to us.
Thanks, Boldo

Jay,
I have fought with them and think we can get 44 tables. If we doubel these up we can use the mats but that limits players to 44. So I thought we would have to use boards on the tables. I know this is a huge expense and that we will have to store them in the basement under HR block but this is doable. I want to get an exact count on boards, terran for boards, and mats so we know what we need.
We could also use some pictures of great terrain we will use for the tournament.

Ok, Well i have less tables then i told Shaun. Well it looks like we need 44 tables (3 boards each, 2x4 board) total of 132 boards. Good boards i found at home depot were 6.00 each. The boards IF we had to buy them all it would cost around 800.00 dollars.
My other concern is the gaming table being unstable. one false move then it will spill onto the floor. This is max numbers of tables that RIT can Supply. I just a little concern after this weekends performance of there staff.

I would not leave everything up to the RIT guys. They are awesome for letting us run this there, but I think we need to provide everything for this and give them direction on what they need to do. This will be representitive of our gaming club and I think its important we are envolved in any decisions about it.

BOARDS MUST BE STORED FLAT AND NEED A MOISTURE BARRIER ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE PILE, OR "THEY WILL WARP." THAT APPLIES TO PARTICLE, PLY, MASONITE AND ALL OTHER OPEN GRAIN SOFT WOODS. HARD WOODS ARE TO EXPENSIVE & HEAVY TO CONSIDER FOR TABLES. THREE- 2' X 4' BOARDS IS THE WAY TO GO. SO: SIX 2' X 4' BOARDS PLUS LANDSCAPE FOR EACH IS THE "NEW" OBJECTIVE FOR LANDSCAPE SUPPORT. NOT A PROBLEM, I STILL COMMIT TO 2 TABLES. HAVE A NICE DAY!

While I haven't been able to commit to Terrain building, I can offer the use of my home boards. I have 3 2ftx4ft boards that I use for my gaming at home. They are unpainted, but this could be changed by the GT easily enough. All it would need would be someone to provide the terrain. This should take a little strain off of buying new boards.

If we buy the boards in 4X8 form and then cut them ourself that will save quite a bit of money. Also we have some boards. I figured we would need 33 or so which is 22 sheets of 4x8 something but that should get the cost to 300-400. Which is expensive but. Then as Dragon pointed out these need either to be moisure resistent or painted with exterior paint. After the tournament we can store these in the half basement under HRBlock but we will need to clean some of the area out and put in some pallets so we can store them flat.

We could paint all the sides. Or just the ends. We need to add sand, grass or something to them.
The only problem with cutting them is getting a straight cut. I have table saw, but every time i cut a piece that big it is never straight.
I think we need to get a final count of boards that we have as group.

I know it will be more expensive but home depot will cut for free. I also think for the boards we use mats on we could paint without anything. For the others perhaps we need to start thinking about getting the material sooner rather than later.

Thats true, boards can be cut right at "THE HOME DEPOT" or "LOWES" for no extra cost. JAY, IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE CUTTING STRAIGHT ON A TABLE SAW, USE A CIRCULAR SAW WITH A GUIDE CLAMPED DOWN. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BUY GUIDES, (THEY HOOK TOGETHER), USE A STRAIGHT 2"x 4" @ REQUIRED LENGTH. PRIMER FIRST, YOU'LL SAVE ON PAINT AND IT'LL STICK BETTER. KEEP IN MIND, THE PRIMER CAN BE THE MAIN COLOR, IT'S NOT COMING OFF UNLESS YOU SCRUB IT REAL HARD. I WOULD SPRAY KRYLON PRIME IN ONE OR ALL DIFFERENT COLORS AND LEAVE IT "FOR WOOD". MASONITE IN SUCH A LARGE AREA SHOULD HAVE SPRAY ON PRIME AND THEN PAINTED, (SPRAY OR BRUSH). SPRAYING IS REAL FAST, YOU CAN EVEN MASK AREA WITH PAPER BAGS FOR DIFFERENT LOOKS AND KEEP THE OVER SPRAY FOR TRANSITION, (WOODS TO DESERT). I'VE DONE ALL OF THIS BEFORE. HAVE A NICE DAY, BACK NEXT THURSDAY!

I HAVE COMPLETED THE DESIGN, BUILDING & PAINTING OF LANDSCAPING FOR BOTH TABLES PROMISED FOR "DABOYZ GT". NOW THAT THE HARD PARTS DONE, I HAVE I.D. CARDS FOR SIZE & TERRAIN TO DO, AND THE PAINTING OF THE BOARD PLAYING SURFACE LEFT. THE BOARDS WILL BE 2"x 4', (3 FOR EACH TABLE) AND I'VE DECIDED TO PAINT THEM WITH A ROLLER AND SPRAY PAINT IN DIRT, GRASS AND WHAT EVER, (NO ROLLIE BOXES REQUIRED). IF I GET A CHANCE I SHALL PUT A URETHANE SATIN FINISH ON FOR TOUGHNESS. WE SHOULD EVALUATE BY THE END OF JULY WHAT'S LEFT FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO VOLUNTEERED FOR LANDSCAPE DETAIL, JUST TO MAKE SURE WILL FINISH ON TIME. GOOD LUCK BUILDERS, CIAO "THE CHAOS DRAGON"

I HAVE COMPLETE MY 2 TABLES COMMITMENT FOR “DABOYZ” TOURAMENT IN OCTOBER, (NOT THAT ONE COULD TELL). SO IF THE TOURNAMENT IS ON, THAT’S TWO TABLES DOWN, AND IF IT’S NOT ON THAT’S OK, I NOW HAVE FOUR PLUS PLAYING TABLES AT HOME.
DUE TO AN UNUSAL TURN OF EVENTS ON EBAY, I NOW HAVE 173 CHAO’S, 40K MODELS.
SO, I’M DONE WITH LANDSCAPING FOR A LONG TIME TO COME.
DRAGON SEASON OPENS AUGUST 17TH @ BOLDO’S!
HAVE A NICE DAY, CIAO! ;D ;D ;D
