Well, first off, in today's tourney, I placed 3rd, and My brother placed 5th. Not bad for his first time out in a few years. There were only 9 players though.
But, they have revamped their system, and made it better. First off, they now only have 1 primary misison per game, and only 1 player can achieve it, or none. No more drawing Primary missions and no more having both sides score their points. This means that you only draw you r secondaries, and like before, you hide one and show one. They also changed up the missions (Both primary and secondary) a bit. Not sure about it, but most of the secondaries seemed to be "Kill sqaud x". Not so many of the "Hold position x" anymore. Primary missions are more like RT Alpha level missions now.
From today, I can say I like the changes. Patrick did say they were still refining it, so feedback is good in the future.
And regarding the future, the Den is now hosting a tourney every two weeks. This mean the next one will be on the 14th of may. Thought I would let you all know.

R.I.T. WAS GREAT,THEY HAD ORGANIZATIONS PROBLEMS AT FIRST & A SHORTAGE OF LANDSCAPING WHICH WAS ALL EASILY RESOLVED BY SHAUN AND "DABOYZ" TRAVELING ROAD SHOW. THEY SUPPLIED PIZZA, DRINK & PRIZES FOR $5.00. WE FINISH AT 5:00, AND NEVER HAD TO RUSH FROM GAME TO GAME. I BELIEVE WE HAD 10 TABLES FILLED WITH 4 GUYS FROM SYRACUSE, THE "LONE DRAGON", "DABOYZ" HAD SHAUN, MIKE, CHRIS, JAY, KYLE, DOUG & BRIAN. I'LL LET SOMEONES ELSE GIVE THE DETAILS ON THE R.I.T. THREAD, BUT CHRIS FINISHED 3RD AND 2 OF THE GENTLEMEN FROM SYRACUSE FINISHED 1ST & 2ND. COYOTE'S DEN HAVING A TOURNAMENT EVERY 2 WEEKS IS A BAD IDEA. THE ONLY WAY THEY FILL, IS IF I OR ONE OF US PUSH IT FROM THIS WEBSITE AND "DABOYZ" AREN'T PLAYING ELSE WHERE! "THEY'LL BE BACK TO HAVING TOURNEY'S WITH 4 TO 8 PEOPLE AS A RESULT, AND IT'S NOT CLOSE TO BEING A FIRST CHOICE. HAVE A NICE DAY! FROM THE "FRIENDLY DRAGON"

You may be right about their tourney numbers going down, but they seem to want to play more anyway. Even if only a few of us were to show once in a while, that's still new people for them. Besides, I think part of the reason they are doing this is to work out their new mission ideas. They'll probably slow it down after a while. Or they may get more people with it being summer. Remember that many of their players are students who have free time in the summer.

COYOTE'S DEN HAS A TOURNAMENT ON MAY 14TH, 2006, THAT'S SOMETHING CALLED "MOTHERS DAY" AND 2 WEEKS LATER WOULD BE 28TH MAY, THAT'S SOMETHING CALLED "MEMORIAL DAY." I DON'T GET IT, I'M BEYOND NONPLUSSED! WE COULD HAVE A BIGGER TOURNAMENT DRAW ON A THURSDAY NIGHT THEN THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THEY CAN DRAW ON THESE DATES. DOUBLE CIAO!

I know many of you don't care, but this is a reminder that the den is holding a tournament this sunday. Usual deal. I'll be there with at least one brother, proabably both.

RANGER DUDE, I WAS THERE SATURDAY NIGHT RIGHT BEFORE CLOSING (9:45pm), MY FRIENDS BAND WAS PLAYING DOWN THE STREET. ANYWAY THEY ROTATED THE PLAYING TABLES 90 DEGREES AND ADDED ANOTHER MAIN PLAING TABLE TO TRY AND SQUEEZE IN A FEW MORE PLAYERS. I CAN'T MAKE IT THIS SUNDAY AND I DON'T SEE ANY OTHER TOURNAMENTS LISTED FOR JUNE. I THINK WE SHOULD POST THE JUNE 11TH TOURNEY AND SEE IF "DABOYZ" WILL RALLY FOR THIS ONE. GOOD LUCK SUNDAY, I'LL BE OPENING MY POOL. CIAO!

Day ahead of you on the pool. We'll be doing that tomorrow, if I can grab a brother. Otherwise, A day later. Have fun.
Hope we get some crowd. Don't mind small tournies as it improves my chances of placing, but some variety in play would be nice.

Well, I thought I'd post results.
I know Phil and Patrick went 1 and 2 respectively. My brother and I on the other hand were off our game as we were way down at the bottom of the list. In my case it was just some poor luck. Necrons first round. Fun game, but I just could get him to stay down. Relatively close in the end. Second game was my own brother, and his DE simply out manuevered me. Was close until our last turn when he took out my two highest point units. Last game I drew Armoured company. I was sure I was toast, but I actually managed to wreck him. He was fairly new and made some key mistakes, so armoured company still makes me nervous, but not as much now that I've faced them and seen some ways to make my army work around them. (Board choice was a big help here to as I spent a lot of time hiding in cover all over the place.)
Final record was 1 and 2 for both of us. I managed 9 mission points, but that still put me fifth from the bottom. Dan was second from the bottom. The armoured company was the bottom with absolutely no mission points in any game. Kind of made me feel like a puppy kicker.

RANGER DUDE: GOOD MORNING, DO YOU REMEMBER HOW MANY TANKS AND WHAT CONFIGURATIONS THE ARMOUR COMPANY PLAYER USED?
WHAT ARMY DID YOU PLAY AT THIS TOURNAMENT?
HOW DID THE NEW TABLE ARRANGEMENT WORK OUT AT THE COYOTE'S DEN, AND DO YOU THINK WE CAN FIT IN MORE PLAYERS.
WHAT ARMIES DID PATRICK & PHIL PLAY?
SORRY FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS AND, DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD GET "DABOYZ" TO PLAY ON JUNE 11TH.
THANKS & HAVE A NICE DAY!
CIAO!

Armoured company: 2 Basilisk, 1 Chimera with thecpriest and servitors, 2 hellhounds, 1 destroyer tank hunter, 2 russes, 1 vanquisher and 1 demolisher. 1 russ had plasma sponsons, 1 russ had melta sponsons. the demolisher had melta. vanquisher had hbs. All I really remember.
I was playing my alaitoc ranger force. The thought of taking on so many vehicles with predominantly sniper rifles was rather daunting. My warp spiders were the unit of the game though, taking out a hellhound, both basilisks, and a russ(which was alos one of my secondaries.) My warwalkers only killed a hellhound and the vanquisher between them. my farseer managed to drop a russ using a singing spear on the side armor. Wraithlord only dropped the destroyer. As for the 45 rangers in the force, the managed to pop a weapon on the chimera, and stun the chimera once in a while. They were also my primary force for movement based objectives. (We were grabbing loot for the primary, and I had to hold a terrain piece for one of my secondaries.) Other than that, they stayed entrenched in cover and weathered the storm of big guns.
The new table config was a little nicer. Not sure how many more we can get in though. we had 14 and were using all the tabled they had out. There was a strip of non-gaming tables set up that could have supported two or three more boards, but I'm not sure if the space would have been feasible for that.
Pat and Phil played Orks and bugs.
I'd love to see more of Da Boyz at the den, but it's up to them. I go because it's a low pressure environment for my brother who has only recently discovered the joy of painting. his army is still mostly in pieces and unpaitned. He is working on it at a furious pace, and they don't look half bad, but he's still not ready for an RT.

THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE RANGER DUDE, I BRING MY SON THERE FOR THE SAME REASONS. BUT NOW HE ALMOST ALWAYS WORKS ON THURSDAYS & SUNDAYS. I'M TAKING HIS ELDAR & MINE TO SEE IF I CAN FIELD A ELDAR BIEL-TAN ARMY @ 1850 & 2000 points. I HAVE A LOT OF QUESTION, I SHALL CREATE A THREAD WHEN I GET A CHANCE. I'VE GOT TOO MANY ARMIES IN PLAY, WITH TOO MANY LANDSCAPING PROJECTS FOR "DABOYZ GT" GOING ON THAT I'M FOR GETTING THE PLAYING RULES & TACTICS RIGHT NOW. SANGY (AKA BLOOD ANGEL MIKE) STRAIGHTENED ME OUT THURSDAY ON SOME, WHICH I THANK HIM FOR, AND THIS STUFF IS MY SMALL HOBBY. CIAO!
