Head of the Serpent Tournament
Rules Outline
· For this event we will be using the standard 40K 5th edition rules.
· Your army list must be no more than 1,500 points.
· Tournament force organization chart requirements:
o Each army must have two HQ’s and two Troops
o No army can use any named Independent Characters or upgrade characters. (i.e. Snikrot, Telion, Abbadon, Commisar, Yarrik to name a few)
o If you have an army with HQ choices that normally do not take up a force org. slot they may be used to fill that slot during this event.
If you have any questions regarding the Force Organization for this event please ask either John or Ken.
· The event will be a three round tournament using the Swiss style format.
· Each round will be two hours in length, with a half hour break in between each round.
· The object of the games are simple, eliminate your opponents HQ’s. Each HQ is worth one point apiece.
· If you eliminate your opponents HQ’s the game is not over, you must play the full two hours for each round. (Unless game circumstances shorten the playing time. Ie. You table your opponent in turn two.)
· During each game a random number of objective markers will be placed on each table. These markers are secondary objectives, and will help decided a game winner in the event each player’s HQ’s have been eliminated. Additionally they will be used for tournament tie-breaking situations.
· Each model must be W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G.
· If you have any conversions, you must make it clear to your opponent what the conversion represent.
· Players are to bring at least three copies of a typed or neatly written army list. One copy must be turned into the Tournament Organizer at the time of registration.
This is a general outline of the tournament rules, which is subject to change, as we get closer to the tournament date. We will do our best to info you of any changes. If an update is not given prior to the event date then we will inform all players of changes prior to the start of play on Saturday, August 15th.
So there you have it, if your interested call the store as soon as possible to get your name on the list.
