Lysander 10 Sternguard (power fist/combi melta) Land Raider (Storm bolter) Tactical Squad 1 (missile launcher/melta gun/teleport homer) Rhino Tactical Squad 2 (missile launcher/flamer/teleport homer) Rhino Tactical Squad 3 (Heavy bolter/plasma gun) 5 man Assault Terminator squad (thunder hammer/storm shield) 5 man Devastator squad (3 heavy bolters/plasma cannon) Vindicator (siege shield) 1850
I have done well with this list in the past but want to do well with both battle points and composition. I realize I have two missile launchers but I like them on my fists. I can replace them if it is generall over done or what not. The idea is Lysander and his stern guard boys ride up in the Raider with the two rhinos flanking him and vindie bringing up the rear. Any input is most welcome. Thanks Boyz

As an imperial fist player myself, im all too happy too give u advice.
First the tac squads..personally i like to match up the weapons a bit i.e mulit-melta and melta in one squad then plasma gun and cannon (not sure if u can in a tac squad), the third squad is nice with a flamer and maybe another plasma gun.
Not a big fan of that 5 man dev squad, i would either drop them and pick up a whirlwind or a las predator, since u might need some more anti-tank.
If u want the dev squad, i would make it a 10 man, and give them the missile launchers.(im a steadfast 10 man squad player) but u gonna have to make some sacrifices for it.
since it looks like the termies are deepstriking i would make them shooty and give them a heavy flamer for cool points.
If u attach lysander to the termies they can reroll their stormbolter misses and put that monster where he is needed.

Lysander 10 Sternguard (power fist/combi melta) Awesome combo with bolter drill. I would send them down in a Pod
Land Raider (Storm bolter) Should be used to cart around your Assault Terminators. You should never deep strike Assault Terminators.
Tactical Squad 1 (missile launcher/melta gun/teleport homer) Rhino Drop the teleport homer it’s not needed. You have a good set up with ML & MG. I would put a Fist & a Combi-flamer on the Sgt.
Tactical Squad 2 (missile launcher/flamer/teleport homer) Rhino See above
Tactical Squad 3 (Heavy bolter/plasma gun) You should swop the plasma cannon from the Devastator squad. Bring the pain to those TEQ & MEQ. Not a good idea to mix your weapons in a Devastator squad. 5 man Assault Terminator squad (thunder hammer/storm shield) FANTASTIC
5 man Devastator squad (3 heavy bolters/plasma cannon) See above
Vindicator (siege shield) Drop the siege shield and the use the points elsewhere.

Thanks guys for the advice, and as always its good to see a fellow Son of Dorn, I will be getting at least 6 games in between now and monday. I will play test each combo you guys mentioned and go with what works. Thanks for taking the time to give me some positive feedback. What do you think it will score comp wise though?

Well I have played 5 games with the variations added and the double plas on the tactical and 4 hbs on the devs has been amazing, as had the drop pod tactic. Luckily the sternguard last just long enough for lysander to hop over to the termies and avenge his fallen 1st company comrades. Thank you everyone for the feedback and I cannot wait to see you at the GT. On another note, I am moving to Chili today, pernamently this time as I have finally found a career here in NY. So I should be seeing you much more often and in person. Hope you all have good gaming leading up to and a successful GT
