Hi all,
I'm one of the canucks coming down from Ontario for the GT. I'll be bringing Space Wolves and was wondering if a list from the new codex (assuming it's released by then) will be allowed.
Either way is cool, but would like to know if I should consider it.

sorry, i don't think is is posted, but typically we do the 30 day rule. Like must tournaments
If it comes out 30 days before the event, then yes. Since we are less then thirty days to the event then i would say no.
Do we have release date yet for the codex?

GW's site says october... so I doubt it will be released in time for a tournament on the 3-4th.

Another one of the Canucks here.
The release date is Oct 3, the same day as the event. A preview copy arrived at our FLGS yesterday.

Let me put it the vote to the council.
You would have to bring the codex.
Edit:
Are our local stores going to have a copy of it?
At this point I have seen an illegal copy of it.

If I may, i'd like to put my opinion on the matter forward....
most of us will not be able to see the copy in advance of the tournament, and have no idea how it will work. I doubt I could gain access to it before its release, and to just go in playing blind would be a serious disadvantage to myself, and anyone else in the same boat.
I say we use the old SW codex...

The new codex probably shouldn't count, mainly because it may take up to much time looking up new units abilities and argue the abiguities that may exist (I know shocking!).
30 days is a good rule for people to learn how to break the 'dex and clearify any glaring stuff.
