I'm thinking about getting one or two thunderhawks for my marines... (I'm up to company level strength, and need SOME way to get them all into the fight)...
If I bought one from forgeworld, how costly / difficult would it be to make it into some molds and cast a duplicate? (FW one is really only worth its price if I can get a second one out of it) If its either really difficult or costly i'll probably just scratch build one, but I don't know, so I figured i'd ask.

I really dont see it being feasible to cast a model as big and intricate as a Thunderhawk. The material to cast with is expensive, and as you get larger you increase the issues that you would have when making the molds and trying to pour the resin without bubbles and loss of detail. Can it be done, yes but probably at or over the cost of buying that second Thunderhawk. Sorry for the bad news.
