So, I've been out of the loop for a looooong time with WHFB - work is finally letting me get Thursday nights and Sundays off (for now, anyways), so I figured it's time for me to start putting my Empire army back together into something resembling a decent force.
Comments, criticisms and suggestions are always welcome. Pointing and laughing is generally discouraged.

24 Spearmen, Full Command
Free Company Detachment: 50 pts.
10 Fighters
Huntsmen Independent: 100 pts.
10 Huntsmen
Handgunners Independent: 116 pts.
12 Handgunners, Marksman with Repeater Handgun
Knightly Orders: 162 pts.
6 Knights, Musician, Preceptor
Flagellants: 210 pts.
20 Flagellants, Prophet of Doom
Special
Greatswords Independent: 295 pts.
24 Greatswords, Full Command, War Banner
Pistoliers: 114 pts.
5 Pistoliers, Musician, Outrider with Repeater Pistol
Great Cannon: 100 pts.
Mortar: 75 pts.
The plan is to have the Greatswords hold the center of the line with the Arch Lector, flanked immediately by the Swordsmen with BSB on one side and the Spearmen on the other. This big block of troops provides a hard-to-move target to hold any enemy charges while the Pistoliers and Knightly Orders move around the sides to harass and flank charge the bad guys. Huntsmen provide march blocking along with the Pistoliers, and the Handgunners and artillery soften the bad guys up as they move in. The Flagellants tarpit something while I deal with the initial charge, then hold the baddies for a flank or rear charge from an available unit.
So whaddya think?
