Last Man Standing
Warhammer 40k Event.
Feb 6th 2010
Start time 12:00-8:00
Rules for the 2010 installment of this tourney
Basic Requirements for a player:
1 HQ and 1 Troop Minimum
Total points start at 1250
Setup:
Players will be assigned a table to play at. Terrain is in charge of the game master.
Each table will have a number of spots to play on. (Example 6-8 per table)
Once assigned to the table players will be issued a deck of playing cards.
Those cards will be divided into suits; players can pick what suit to use for the table.
Players will elect a dealer that will pass out 1 card to each player. Once each player has a card they will
all flip to see who goes first. High card will go first, dealer elect will be in charge to collect all cards and
then players will go in a clockwise pattern on playing the LMS. The dealer will pass the cards to his left
and the next player will be in charge of passing out the cards for next round. Cards will not be allowed to
be passed out till the beginning of the next round.
Special Rule: Players that have an all drop pod army will be able to elect to change tables, if a spot is
open. If multiple players select the same table they will automatically have to go first and second.
Deployment:
for this year’s event we are electing players to use the dawn of war setup. Players this year will have the
option to setup the 1 HQ and 1 Troop choice options; they then can elect to place all their armies off the
table. This will allow more survivability on the 1st round. The next round they can move them on or elect
to place them in reserves. The first round is also “Night Fight”
Time Limit:
Players will have 5-10 min total for their turn. Use this time to your advantage, and know what units to
move or assault or both. Once time has been called it’s off to the next person. A non player will be
assigned to this position.
Stratagems:
in the center of the table there will be an objective of great power for the players to use. This will be
revealed at the time of the event. Players will roll to see what they get for the objective. Players can
keep this or elect to roll for another option in doing so you will have to scratch off the prior option for it
will be expended. (Example: Vortex grenade is rolled on a d6. They can use one vortex grenade per turn
if they own the objective, if they want to use another grenade, the player must make sure no one else is
contesting an objective. (See Rulebook on contesting objectives) If the player was to use another option
they would roll the dice and see what they have left, another example would be camouflage, +1 cover
saves for the unit)
How to Win the table:
Players will play until there is only on left on the table and all the other players have been eliminated.
Units that are falling back or broken units on the winning side auto rally. Once the table has been
cleared of opponents the last player on the table MUST leave the units on the field, and cannot move
them. Once the set amount of open tables has one person on them, the finals of the tourney begin.
How to Win the Game:
Players that win the table assigned to them will be redeployed or opt to have their tables placed
together to make a 4 table finally. (This will be up to the games master running the event.) Players will
then have to use the army they have left and battle it out till there is one person left standing.
An objective will be then placed in the middle of the multi table mega battle as a bonus prize, and the
person left standing on the objective will win it. This is optional and you can only win it while on the
objective. Vehicles can occupy the objective and will be subject to a Dangerous Test.
If you are able to get onto the objective and are able to clear all your opponents you are the winner of the LMS
2010 event.
Awards:
Making this event interesting and having people attending it every year are the awards we hand out.
We would like to thank Black Library and the Brokenforge.com for the awards and items handed out for
this event.
