Hey guys I am wondering what you think of this skaven list I have written up. I went with a model heavy army but still with some punch.
30 Clanrats-225 FC Shields Warpfire Thrower
30 Clanrats-210 FC Shields Ratling Gun
30 Clanrats-155 FC Shields
Giant Rats-115 25GR 5PM
Giant Rats-115 25GR 5PM
4 Rat Swarms-100
20 Skavenslaves-42 musician
20 Skavenslaves-42 musician
24 Plague Monks-193 Fc
Rat Ogres-128 3RO 1PM
7 Poisoned Wind Globadiers-70
6 Plague Censer Bearers-96
Doomwheel-150
Plague Claw Catapult-100
Grey Seer-270 Foul Pendant
Chieftain-100 Enchanted Shield Warlock Augmented Weapon
Plague Priest-139 Flail Warp Scroll
I like the layout of this army, lots of guys, and it has some toys. I am considering changing the Grey Seer to a Warlord with fell blade or some other combaty layout and changing the chieftain to a warlock engineer with a dispel scroll. That way I would have a fighty character for my ranks, but im not sure. Is the warlord worth the investment over a Greyseer considering my magic would become more defensive? Anyway I would appreciate it to let me know what you guys think. Best Ulyses

That's a lot of bodies, but to what end?
As far as offense goes, you have 7 PD, 1 bound, not much in the way of shooting (little bit of this, little bit of that), and not much punch in HtH beyond the Priest and Monks.
If you want to do a horde, I'd highly recommend a Bell or Furnace. Having an Unbreakable anvil is extremely useful for protecting your general and BSB and holding the line.
You have numbers, but you need something more. You need to force your enemy to close. Shooting and magic are here for you. Skaven can do both exceedingly well, pick one and focus it.
Weapon Teams, in particular Poisoned Wind Mortars, give you reach and can do lots of damage, while Jezzails help bring down heavily armored targets. PWG are perfect to protect your Bell/Furnace unit by just tossing directly into combat.
If you go magic, Grey Seers and Engineers are nasty.
To go with the anvil, numbers, and shooting/magic, you'll need to break your opponent. You can either beat them head on (lolwut) or flank 'em. GRats, Night Runners, MSU Stormvermin and Clanrats are all good flankers (the latter especially so with Tretch). PCBs, Doom Flayers, Doomwheels, A-Bombs, and the like are capable of doing tons of damage, flank or no flank.
And since everything in the Skaven book is so blissfully cheap and expendable, look into bringing redundancy. 1 WFT is prone to misfiring, if you have 2 more backing it up it won't be a problem. Build in redundancies to mitigate the inherent fragility and unreliability of Skaven tech, and you won't get totally screwed by 1 bad roll.
