gabe = ranger dude (not sure if he's comming or not)
I can meet at millenium on saturday, no problems. My room mate owes me a couple rides anyway (his car broke and I drove him around to get parts) so I probably don't need to leave my truck in their parking lot.

I'm the tall bald dude with a gold toyota. My # is (714) 580 9153, you can text or call if needed or if anything changes.

Sounds good. If anybody else needs a ride, I can always go myself. I've got a jeepeeess and my car has schweet gas mileage, so it's no bigs at all.

Hey, sorry it's so late, but I don't think I'm gonna be able to make it tomorrow, err, later today. FYI, I tore my ACL a couple weeks back in case I hadn't mentioned it and I'm doing PT and getting surgery in a couple weeks. My doc said I should be ok walking around and doing stuff, I just need to be careful. I was bringing my stuff out to the car, took a wrong step or something and my knee just gave way. I dropped all the stuff I was carrying, probably some of it's broken, and my knee hurts like hell. I'm gonna rest and see if it's better tomorrow, if not I'm gonna go see the doc. Don't bother waiting up for me, I'll have to catch the next one. Dammit. Sorry again for the late notice, hope y'all have fun.

Just back from the ER, got Xrays and everything. Looks like nothing got permanently damaged, apparently I just strained my ACL, so it's like kicking a guy when he's down. Doc said I'd be a lot worse off if I hadn't been doing PT, so yayz there.
I'll take my purple heart now.

5 people showed up for the tournament, despite like 14 people on the TO's sign up list. So we just ended up not doing a tournament, and playing some free games.
oh well.

I would have gone if he offered more than "not a fan of soft scores". If your going to run a tourny then run a tourny IMHO.

well, the whole battle missions thing was kinda silly... I'm not a fan of battle missions. They change the game far too much.
Like when I tried to play a space marine one with chumbalaya... It was required for me to set up my entire army in the middle of the board, with all my units at least 6" away from each other. I couldn't use reserves. Then, he was guaranteed first turn, with no chance of me stealing initative. AND his units got to come in from any board edge....
so, he had 10 thunderwolves in his list... with an average charge range of about 22". No matter where I placed ANY of my models, his wolves were almost guaranteed first turn charges on any of my units... not to mention his cyclone equipped wolf guard terminators comming in getting side / rear shots on any of my exposed, unsmoked vehicles. YEA.......
We actually didn't bother playing that mission. I read it, told him good game, and we rolled for a regular mission, that had a chance of being an actual game.
As for comp at the tournament, the guys that actually showed up had armies I'd rate as good comp (except the TO, his eldar i'd give a poorer comp score, mostly to 6 war walkers with dual scatter lasers, 20 fire dragons in serpents, and eldrad)

Hehe Horst that mission sounds like a 3rd or 4th edition mission I played in several tournies. Best part was I was playing DE at the time and they were always listed as the attacker so it was an easy and fast mission for me heh. Not a balanced mission for the tourny scene though.

Had a tournament in 3rd edition use the one mission from the back of the book. I forget the name of it, but it's the one where attackers troops choices come back from the dead, and the object is to wipe out the defenders...If they don't completely wipe out the defenders, the defenders won.
Lousy mission for a tourney (Was kinda glad I got a bye on that round).
