After all the speculation about Grey Knights, Dark Eldar, Necrons and Chaos Marines, in August will be Daemons. New stuff shown in July. Here's GW's info: In August, the immortal legions of the Ruinous Powers - the Chaos Daemons - will pour forth once more from the Realm of Chaos to drown the Warhammer world and the galaxy of the 41st Millennium beneath a tide of blood and destruction. Even now, mystics are assailed by nightmarish visions of horror and death, the fractured minds of madmen echo with sibilant whispers, and the doomed clutch symbols of their weak gods closer to them.
A host of incredible new Citadel miniatures for both Warhammer 40,000 Chaos Daemons armies and Warhammer Daemons of Chaos armies will soon be released upon mortal battlefields. All will be revealed in July here on the Games Workshop website and in August's issue of White Dwarf magazine, so keep an eye out for more information.

actually travis, i'd take this more to mean a confirmation the next codex will be grey knights/daemonhunters. It says they are releasing miniatures for chaos daemons... not a new chaos daemons codex. It would make sense for the next codex to be daemonhunters, to coincide with the release of more daemons models.
I mean they are likely to release a codex in august, and a daemonhunters one would tie in so well to this new expansion I could really see it happening. Its not like the daemonhunters need new models... grey knights are widely acknowledged as some of the best models GW has put out, and most of the inquisitorial units are available in the guard range.

This is just the second wave of Daemons which is way overdue. It is a way they can release spearhead and 8th ed Fantasy then release models that will benefit both systems. I am still hoping DE are next but the rumor mill is pushing them back again due to the rumor of the GK flyer. Needless to say I will be pissed....

The more things change, the more they stay the same...
I am sure that in August there will not be a codex or an army book release since GW is spinning its wheels trying to get both the Dark Eldar and Greyknights ( WitchHunters?) books finished. Instead they are going to the well and pulling out some plastic horrors, plague bearers, and seekers that they should have released a long time ago when the codex came out, along with that god awful deamon prince they tried to push on us shortly after the deamon codex came out. Really this is nothing just another stalling technique while the "creative minds" try to figure out what's next.

Spoke with my rep today. He stated that it would be very surprising to him if there was a new book for either game for Demons. He thinks that this release is similar to the second wave of Orks that we got with plastic Stormboyz, special characters and such.

It is the second wave overdue, a good source from Warseer (Daemon Prince Andramalech)
In general this has been taken to be releases of at least: Horrors (known for their 'capering') Seekers (Slaanesh mounted units) Bloodcrushers (possibly, mentions stampede) Daemon Prince (the lords in the story) Fateweaver (two heads on a blind creature muttering over an orb)
I think this release also sets up grey knights quite nicely for the next codex.

Although my sources over the years have dwindled due to GW's loss of qualified staff everything I am hearing is still holding to the DE coming out in Oct/Nov. Guess we shall see..

If you have actual sources that is better than my pure speculation on it. It just seems the GK codex and minis have already been pulled while DE is still available, that could still line them up for a release after DE as well. It is a bit frustrating on both fronts since it has been so long there will definitely be an overhaul and it is hard to plan appropriately...

Well if you look at the time frame on when they actually started the GK they will be hard pressed to get it done this quick. The key here is nobody really knows and there is a lot of speculation even among sources heh.
This could be an instance where GW changed their mind. Someone on Dakka released a list of rumors for the GK but I don't know the guy or how reliable he or his source is, but in any case no date was given for release. Now the wild speculation is GK will be released with the Daemon 2nd wave which makes a little sense.
I did hear however that the new stormtroopers are coming on June 19th and will actually be metal. 5 to a box. Also a White scars commander should be coming with that as well as a White scars bike pack of some sort.
