Hey All,
I'm Karl, and although I have been in Rochester now for about 18 months, I am getting back into 40k. I play IG and have something resembling fieldable armies of Tau, Orks and Dark Eldar.
I live not too far from Boldo's and stopped in this afternoon (Sunday) where I played a game and met some people who directed me here to this board.
Anyway I am interested in joining the Rochester 40k "scene", and just wondering what typically goes on in the area.

Inb4 Zach Welcome to the area. I can't say much for Boldo's since I never get a chance to head out there (the free play time and my own school/work schedule don't mesh), but I play at Millennium when I can. I'd say we have quite the good sized community and very active scene. Plenty of folks are online here, so if you're ever looking for a game just drop by Millennium on Tuesdays or Saturdays, Boldo's on Sundays(?) and Thursdays(?) or just drop us a line here. I look forward to meeting you

Hi Karl and welcome.
In addition to Boldo's on Thursday & Sunday and Millennium Tuesday and Saturday for casual play, we have a good tournament scene also.
Millennium runs a 40k tourney the second Sat of every other month, July being the next. It's an 1850 tourney with comp, sportsmanship, and painting scored and has brought in 32 players for both the March and May rounds. Top 2 players also qualify for their final in December. They have all the information on their website.
I believe Boldo with some help from Daboyz is working on tournaments to run the first weekend of the month also.
We also have Daboyz GT in the fall which has some great prize support and sponsorship and I guess brings in over 50 players.
I know several of the guys have tables in their mancaves myself included. I'm welcome to having a gues over for 40k anytime and keep the mini-fridge stocked with beer so if you don't get enough action at the shops and want to drop by, LMK.
Aaron

Welcome Karl!
Pair a Dice Games is in Village Gate Plaza as well. They are small, but are very clean and laid back. Open gaming is Wednesday nights and Saturdays

Thanks for all the replies!
I guess I'll show up to some of these places and meet you guys and be active on the boards and whatnot. I should also add that I was involved with the Syracuse scene and have played some of you guys in the past in tournaments you guys drove over for back from 2001-2006 or so.
My IG has smiley faces on their helmets if you remember that Army, but it has been a while.
