To say the least...
Seems like the best way to reward comp without scoring a list. If 3 IG's show up with leafblowers and each scores 3 wins and 9 points, they all end up with 0. That's an effective way to shut down OP lists/armies lol.
Not so good at selecting definitive winners with a 9 battle point spread, taking the average of army players and subtracting, seems like most with a 3 win record will still score only 3-4 points.
That leaves a huge bonus to being everyones "favorite army". If all 3 of your opponents rank you as their "favorite opponent", you get +5.
Seems like a great way to reward "compy" and fluff/themed armies and discourage use of hard netlists.

So if you're the only person to bring a particular army, you score a 0 by default? Since the army's average score is the same as your score? Seems weird.

Of course, if one guy brings a powerful list and 2 other bring crappy ones, he gets a much higher overall score.
Also, anybody playing SM gets hosed almost automatically.
Meh.

seems like this is a set of rules that could very easily be used in this year's GT...very simple system rewarding comp

If you read all the way through, they show that if you are the only player of an army, you automatically earn 5 points. You automatically win your army bracket and are not in a completely unreasonable spot for overall, although probably not a great spot either if the event is large enough.
