For Brets- The Green Knight has “When the Green Knight is awoken, he may be placed within any forest, marshland or river terrain piece, as long as it is not impassable terrain. At least one suitable piece of terrain should be placed on the table. The Green Knight may move normally on the turn he appears.” Will their be suitable terrain on every table, or should I bring some to make sure?
Knights Errant have a rule called "Impetuous." It states that if they are within charge range after all charges have been declared, they must pass a leadership test or declare a charge. The problem is that the BRB defines charge range as the unit's movement plus the result on 2d6 (3d6 dropping the lowest for cavalry). Playing it as written, I roll the dice to see if I am within charge range before making the test (otherwise weird situations arise, like having to take a test for being within charge range but then being outside after rolling- a change in position without moving :-P). I just want conformation this is how it will be played.
There is an item that makes the character that possesses it "Immune to fire based Attacks" It lists things like dragon breath, warp-fire throwers, and Lore of Fire spells as examples. Just double checking, but this should make him Immune to all Flaming attacks, correct?
Can Grail Knights ever claim points for the Underdog Challenge? (They have a special rule where each Grail Knight can issue and accept challenges as if they were a champion, but the unit does not have an option to buy a champion themselves.)
EDIT- Paladins, Lords, and Knights- Exactly how different do I have to make my knights to count as Lords and Paladins? I plan on having them easily identifiable as such when seen among my forces, but I don't want to have to use the one provided GW model over and over, so I'd like to be able to convert/paint up some regular knights to be Paladins.

Hey Guys,
I just sent Jay a bunch of answered questions for the Fantasy GT. As I am the judge and have common sense, just send me an email on the board, or post it to the thread, that way I only answer each question once!

Is there a way we can find a copy of the answers to rules questions.

Here are 5 rule questions
1 When a unit fails a charge does it pay movement for wheeling to align with the enemy? Pg 14 is very clear under wheel, "you do not need to measure the distance wheeled by a charging unit but during the Remaining Moves sub-phase wheels are measured as followed:". A unit that fails a charge is not charging but is moved in the Charge sub-phase, "directly towards the target a distance equal to the highest score rolled on the 2D6 of the charge roll," pg 19. There is no indication that the wheel is paid or not.
2 How do multiple units align if one is wider than the target and the other has fewer supporting attacks? The simple case of this is when a horde 10 wide and a non horde charge a unit of 5 wide. The horde would fight in 3 ranks but the non horde would only fight in 2. Pg23 states, "The charge moves of the charging units must be made as far as possible to equalize the number of models fighting from each charging unit. Remember however to maximize the number of models fighting." So in the above case the maximization would be all of the horde and none of the other unit is this right?
3 The chart for spells on pg 190 claims Hex and augmentation spells need line of sight and this seems to contradict pg 31 which is correct?
4 If a unit is fighting to the flank or rear do models that die before they swing get to fight back? Pg 51 states that, "warriors in the ranks behind will step forward to fill any gaps that appear" but will they step sideways or backwards we do not know?
5 How does a character on a different sized base work in combat when the unit they are in is charged in the flank that character is on? Pg 98 states that, "the character is ignored when working out the number of ranks in the unit " but when there is an incomplete rank pg 49 states, "the models can fight across the gap, even if not physically in base to base contact." Does this apply when this is not an incomplete gap?

I don know the answer to number 3. The Rulebook FAQ errated the Reference section. Augments and Hexes do not require line of sight.

Answers to My questions, as e-mailed to me- 1)I should bring a piece of terrain with me if my special rules may require it, as there is no guarantee it may be available. 2)KE can Measure, then Roll, then test if I am within range. 3)Should be immune to Fire with that particular wording. 4)Grail Knights count as champions, one and all, so points could be claimed. 5)I am able to use modified knights, should I want to, and will not receive a comp hit as long as they are identifiable from each other and base knights.

On number 2 it states in the rules on pg 16 that you declare charges then resolve charge. During the resolve charge you roll to see how far you move. It also states a unit can not declare a charge that is outside its maximum possible charge range. If you wait until the charge resolution to find out how far a unit moves then it is too late to declare the charge and as the opponent was in the maximum possible charge range when charges could be declared then should not the KE have to test then and if they charge find out if they made it. This is the only way the order of play can be preserved.

Well, regardless, the question was answered by the Officials, so it works that way for this tournament at the very least. ATTENTION: The rest of this post is a bit of an explanation of why I believe the Officials were in the right to rule as they did. If you're not interested, skip it. My intent is not to get in an argument on this thread, and if anyone wishes to inquire further into the issue, I would suggest following the link to the thread in another forum I post below, or starting a new thread in the rules section. 2) If it works as you say, I wouldn't ever have to test for Impetuous. I only have to make the test to see if I charge if I am within charge range. Charge Range, as defined by the BRB, is the movement value of the unit plus the result of the charge dice. The rule references Charge Range, not maximum charge range. The intent was and the wording works in this edition as I actually have to be within charge range to take the test. 3)The Impetuous rule only has an effect if no charges are declared- under conditions xyz, one happens. The going challenge is to find an interpretation that forces the test to charge without using the phrase "maximum charge range." Check out this www.roundtable-bretonnia.org/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=87&func=view&id=81661&catid=16&limit=15&limitstart=0 thread for a debate held by a group of bret players. This PDF: www.roundtable-bretonnia.org/images/fbfiles/files/Bretonnia_Community_FAQ_Version_0_5.pdfsums it up nicely- RAW is on the side of rolling first, when all is said and done. Both sides have a case for RAI. The historical precedent is on the side of Rolling First, as that is the general effect that Impetuous had- you COULD NOT fail an impetuous charge, even to the point of being allowed to measure in 7th. Thus, in a tournament, I think the Officials went with the ruling they did due to it being the more supported answer in every faucet of the question. I apologize for the Length of this post, I can't seem to find a way to use Spoilers, if this board even uses them.

This seems still to be an odd ruling as a unit is in charge range if it could charge which is within the maximum charge range. When the BRB was printed there was no such idea as maximum charge and in the rule book a legal charge is any charge that is within maximum charge range so it seems that if a charge could be declared then the unit should have to test to see if they must.

I got an answer when I e-mailed them, that may help you get answers. I only moved the debate on Knight Errant's Impetuous rule.
