Cool Mike.
I showed up at 9 last time to help set up and it was already done. They like to pair off right at 10 and Travis usually gives a motivational speech, so 9-9:30 is safe.

I will be at the store at 9am for set-up and to let the other guys in. I want to start the tourney promptly at 10am. That way we can be done by 5 with lunch. If you get there after 10am I won't be able to let you in. Please be on time as it sucks for everyone else.

we re leaving Buffalo at about 7:45 aand should be at millenium around 9am. just thought I would paint for a while when I get there. It's been so crazy at home I haven't painted in over a week. so the time at Millenium would be a quiet god send

Fantastic job Jay, Ben and all else who were involved. I had a lot of fun all day. Dan slapped me silly round 1, but he went on to take 3rd overall so I'm cool with that. I got to play 3 out-of-towners, 3 totally different armies, and none of them were marines!
Fishboy's eldar army was stunning and I'm glad he took best appearance.
Props to Jay for donating a portion of his 'Ardboyz winnings for additional prizes.
It meant a lot also that Jay, Ben, and Smitty took the time afterward to explain the comp scoring with solid reasoning and examples.
Can't wait for the GT!

I have to second that too. I thought my 2 autarchs might cost me something. I miss the old GT's, so I want to walk in November putting in my best overall effort. Allready tweeked the list for next month.

Yeah, kudos to them for being so up front and available for any and all questions. Things went pretty smoothly today, hopefully the GT will be the same.

What armies/players took the top spots? I stopped by to register for next Saturday's event and saw that the place was packed with players.
Looks like it was a good turnout - too bad I couldn't have played.

I took a couple during my games, but that's it. Wish I had taken more of the pretty armies and conversions.

Courtney was shooting armies on display boards during the lunch break. Travis came around at least once during the games to take shots.
Hopefully they'll get posted sometime soon.

Big thanks to Jay and the crew for putting on a great event. Also, thank you hyv3mynd for a great game.
In terms of the insights into comp scoring, anything people want to share here? I didn't stay after for very long, but would have liked the conversation.
