I'm no expert on comp (understatement of the year), but talking to folks there good comp = taking uncommon units, no dupes, lots of Troops, no SCs, and basically the opposite of what it takes to make a good army I raked in tons of battle points (all but 2), which countered my negligible comp score and got me a solid overall score (top 6? 8? I forget) and Best General score. Really I'd just need to work on my painting. So it is possible to take an army with poor comp, club baby seals all day and walk away with good placing. Of course, then you run into problems with sportsmanship and people making games generally unpleasant, mostly due to Warhammer being srs bsns If my experience Saturday was anything to go by, I think I'll just go for maximum comp so I won't have to deal with that garbage.

After your comp and sports comments I figured that one out. Not sure what an SRS BSNS is but remember our coversation after the match. Your play style and inability for your opponent to identify your cross gaggle of units are what affected you score. Go buy some hello kitty stickers of different colors to put on the shoulder pads to make it easier.

Guys on thunderwolves, lone wolves in term armor, long fangs, and 4 wg units with wgt's and cyclones. Logans the big dude with an axe. The list is legal and very potent I dunno why he gets so much flak. Sure, he doesn't play dollies to win painting awards he want to kill stuff. No need to take shots at the guy. That's why there's so much drama. Old school guys cracking on the young bloods. If you don't want to play Jer or a similar list at the GT, its easy. Lose your first game. On purpose. A list like his will be down ~70 comp points at the end, but he'll be crushing the BP leaders for 5 games so make sure you aren't one. Join the losers bracket for rounds 2-5 and get your massacres there. Missing out on 30bp in game 1 hurts a lot less than the 70 lost comp points at the end. That's my plan at least lol. Gaming the system? Yup. That's what you gotta do when the system is flawed.

Now that's some trash talk!
So what are you going to do when I crush your wolves?? Then you'll be down by 70 points on comp and 30 from my stomping all over your army.
Whatchya gonna do, brother, when Ragnar runs wild on YOU???!!!

Lets see how well he plays with the stickers on his guys heh. Actually the problem is the units have minimum painting and then he mixes them all up to get a cover save. You have no clue what is what and another of his opponents made a similar comment to me. This could be fixed simply by painting a shoulder pad in each unit different colors. Would not take long to do and it would make it easier for his opponent to identify units. He and I both discussed this after the event and he seemed like he wanted to improve. He should know I am not busting on him and I took his sports comments as sarcastic. Edit: Can someone point me to the final scores?

So apparently I'm a dumb ass and managed to NOT save the excel file i was working in so I think the only one the has the final results Is Tommy.
I have the final totals for all the soft scores so if you want to know what they are you can E-mail me at Benjaminlucko1557@yahoo.com and just put your names and "Millennium Soft-score" in the Topic/subject line and ill email them to you.

If you don't get the SRS BSNS comment then it wasn't directed at you We had some issues stemming from that whole weird army, weird models and not addressing the problem until after the game was over. No love lost there, just something to work on for next time. Just remember, if you have any questions about my army, my models, or just what exactly I'm rolling dice for, I'm more than happy to oblige. I know my army well so it's all second nature to me, but I can certainly understand if it's confusing for others and will be happy to accommodate. Asking questions is A-OK, the only reason I'd knock somebody on sportsmanship is if they're an insufferable prick

Just wanted to say ws a very well run event, like the few other events I have been to. This is Dan, I was playing Daemons with the huge Bloodthirster model. I hope we can get a complete list of results, since my friends didn't get all their scores.

Heh Dan I had a blast gaming with you. Has your Bloodthirster punished that Soul Grinder yet for killing him?
