controlling an objective in the GT

ok this is probly just somthing that needs clarification but i was looking at the general mission notes and where it says about tabling your opponent, you dont auto-get max points, you have to see what objectives you could reach in remaining turns... then it also goes on to say you can only have as many objectives as you have troops!!! but nowhere in the rules for the GT does it say troops can only capture one objective, in fact it says the same thing thats in the main rulebook, as long as the scoring unit is within 3 inches of the objective it is controlled unless contested.

so is it what the "tabling" rule mentions or is it how it is in regular gameplay(one unit may capture multiple objectives)

i know this doesnt apply to many of the missions, mostly just "lost artifact" and "heroes glory" but still
