looking at their site this is what i found....
Warhammer 40k Tournament in SAU 2 at 10am - 2:30pm Saturday ( yup 4.5 hrs total) Warhammer Fantasy Tournament in SAU 3 at 10pm - 2:30pm Sunday (yup 4.5 hrs total)
30 min later there are events in the same location so I guess break down is part of this timing as well.
Warhammer 40K Tournament • 1850 Points • Prizes for the top 2 generals and the best paint • Models must be what you see is what you get...however incorrect weapons are acceptable • Paint recommended, but not required • Bring your own codex, dice, templates, etc.
Warhammer Fantasy Tournament • 2000 Points • Player comp judged • Scenarios from the book will be used
whoever decided to end the events at 2:30 really does not understand warhammer

Good grief...how many rounds can you get in in 4.5 hours hehe. I have full authority from she that must be obeyed that I can go....okay actually I have to get the honey do list done but then I am in hehe.
Edit: Can someone help me get around the area? I have no clue where this event is hehe.

The time restraints sound kind of tight for 4 rounds. Even if you allocate 1 hour to each round, that leaves 30 minutes to unpack, move table, move table, move table and finally pack up. I'm certainly no speed demon at playing 40k nor am I slow but I'm not sure I've seen many games wrap up in an hour at 1850 point spread.

there is a pentathelon card game tourney in the same room from 3 till 7:30. I say we go and find a free spot and get them to move it and last longer. you can't run a tourney in that amount of time.

I may try and go if the wife and I decide not to travel to visit family that weekend. I like to support the local events when I can, even if this one seems a bit warped in terms of time management.

Sorry about this it is a convention problem that they have scheduled rounds and they set this for 2 time slots. As you all know it will run till 3 rounds are done. The person running it is the club president Richard and he has done a good job with a few other smaller 40k tournaments so this should run smoothly.

The room is very large and there is plenty of room so we will be able to play as long as needed.
