Wondering if anyone has or knows someone in the area who has a punch and die stile rivet making tool? The tool allows you to put sheets of polystyrene (plasticard) into a jig with holes then punch out circles, which look like rivets.

I do not have one but I think it is a leather mans tool that they use to punch leather with.

I usually just take round stock the diameter i want and just slice off little slivvers to create my rivets.

Chris C showed me using a center punch on the back of plastic card leaves dimples that look like rivets as well..

I usually use a multi-headed punch that I picked up at Michael's Arts and Crafts store, but I also use this stuff: www.grandtline.com/model_railroad/augmentables_pages.htmSpecifically at the bottom of the page of the round headed rivets 153, 154, and 156. 153s are perfect for doing the "bumped" shoulder pads and shin guards on space marines and 154s are perfectly sized for vehicle. I should warn you, they are incredibly tiny and if you don't take great care they will fly off when you cut them from the sprue never to be seen again - this has induced bouts of tourette syndrome.
