We had 38 total player's. Which was more then I had expected. Player's came from Syracuse, Buffalo and Erie, PA. I will give a break down of the prizes that were won on Monday when I have the paperwork in front of me.
The winning team was: Shaun "My back hurts from carrying Jay" Kemp (Orks) & Jay "This game is easy when Shaun does the thinking" Woodcock (Tyranids)
Second place: was Eric ( Professor) & Chris (Bromento) playing a mix os Chaos Deamons
They managed to edge out Rob (Smitty) and Ben (Nutter) by 3 points.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place won all three games. Shaun and Jay won by a wide margin because they had there armies fully painted. They also got one best opponent vote.
Ben and Rob scored one point higher then Chris and Eric in painting. Neither team had fully painted armies. However, Chris and Eric won second place because they had two of their teams vote for them for best opponent and Rob and Ben had none. I will add that both the votes that Chris and Eric for best opponent were from people that traveled in to play in the event. Sometimes it pays to make the game fun for you and your opponent.
So the first 4 qualifying spots for our tournament series go to
Shaun, Jay, Eric & Chris
I appreciate everyone's hep with tables and terrain. My events would never be successful without your help. Andy E was a big help with clean up at the end along with James, Zach, Rob S., Ben, Aaron, Rob M and everyone else I am missing.
38 for a teams event makes me think I should run another one in 6 months or so. Please stay tuned for that.
For those of you looking for the next 40k/Fantasy event please come out to Running Gagg in Geneseo. Alex has two events running for Warhammer this year.

There will be a nice mix of vendors that day. The students and alumni work hard to put together this con every year. I would appreciate it if you guys come out to support them, the vendors and other player's traveling in from out of town.
We have a good community of player's here. Let's try to show support to people that are attempting to give you more opportunities to play and compete in the game you all love.
